South Carolina fires their offensive coordinator

Submitted by yoyo on

This was speculated on earlier on the board but it's official. South Carolina fired their offensive coordinator in Kurt Roper today and replaced him with the co-offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon. It looks like they were waiting on Rice to hire Roper as their head coach but they went in a different direction so they went ahead and fired him.  Either way, as bad as Roper was, this probably leaves the SCAR offense in a bit of disarray.

Idk if you guys missed it or not but the co offensive coordinator took over, i don’t think this changes things much for them, maybe it helps them in play-calling the terminology will not change for the bowl game.

Won't matter.  I don't care if they bring in Wiess for the schematic advantage, Don Brown will download that shit by halftime and the few tricks they come up with will go the way of the dinosaurs.

The context, perhaps, is Muschamp's contract negotiations. He is getting a long term deal. He may have asked for more $$$ to upgrade assistants.
