saturday night observations

Kept getting confused watching other BIG games today when announcers said "Denard" and it was not UM out there.  Turns out we will see Darqueze Dennard for MSU in two weeks, then Alphonzo Dennard for Nebraska in November.  Heads up!

Loved how Herbie called Wisco out for their weak OOC schedule at the end of their game tonite, synching with board posts here earlier this week.

MSU always seems to somehow schedule their bye week before the Michigan game, eh?

About the Ohio vs. Sparty game: how many times have we heard about players on MSU who are embittered by the fact that teams in their home state, or teams that are more prestigiuos (like Michigan) didn't recruit them? What a boring storyline. Douche bag linebacker or whatever from Sparty really has an axe to grind with better team because he wasn't recruited by them. He wants to show them what they missed out on! It seems like every game with Sparty the announcers have this storyline at hand.

Taylor Martinez is not faster than Denard. And Ohio has a Lloyd Brady lookalike -- a bizarro Lloyd as someone said. I saw him again today.

I am glad we do not play Wisconsin this year because they are above and beyond the best team in the B1G.

Oh wait, I should have said - I cannot wait to play Wisconsin in the B1G Title Game.

should mortgage your home, then take the money to Vegas and bet everything on Wisconsin to win the B1G, because its over and done.  Yeah their OOC schedule was weak, but MY GOD did you see what they did to Nebraska !!!  They're the best team ... EVER.

One Game ... this is one game, and for most of us it was the first time we've seen Wisky and Nebraska this year.  I too was very impressed, but they still have 7 regular season games to go.  There are more instances of very good teams losing that unexpected game ... than teams going unbeaten in a season.   It is college football and weird things do happen ...

Go Blue!
