RR at Miami

Submitted by Motown20 on

If RR is let go, my hope for him is that he is hired at Miami.  He does so well with recruiting now, can you imagine what he would do "in state".  Then people wouldn't be able to complain about his recruiting any longer.  He might even get Dee to join.  How ironic would that be?

If the coaching staff is let go after this year, I fully expect them to land on their feet and continuing to pump out top-20 offenses.  Personally, I think RR needs one more year to prove that he can win with his players, but whatever happens I'm fairly certain he will land on his feet.

Well RR at Miami would work.  He has a big three in Lebron, Bosh and Wade.  Since RR knows the spread offense, this will open the floor a bit for those three.  Lebron and Bosh can run a post route or slant to the basket and Wade can pass them the ball for easy scores.

I realize the Miami Heat are underporforming right now, but I really think their coach deserves some time to get Wade/James/Bosh to gel.

Let's not worry about RR in Miami until the Heat make a move with the coach they have, ok?

I would be shocked if RichRod ends up at a decent program (other than Michigan) as a head coach.  His future after Michigan is either as an offensive coordinator at a major program or as the head coach of a CUSA or MAC level school.

I think you're wrong on this one.  You would be surprised at how strong his reputation still is off his WVU days, especially in the east and southeast.  The emergence of Denard Robinson and this offense has only enhanced that.  If he is fired from Michigan I can virtually guarantee you he will be very quickly hired at another D1 program, and a prominent one at that.

There are strong indications that Miami is watching and hoping.

It's telling that many of the RR haters don't think RR will end up at a major school. Shows how ignorant they are about football. RR would be a dream hire for Miami and he would rule the ACC from there. You don't think most of our Florida recruits wouldn't jump at the chance to play in their home state at a legendary program (which FYI has won way more MNCs in recent years than we have)?

Is if Brandon is thinking about firing Rich Rod, it's not fair to string him along.

Rich Rod wins either way:

(1) He stays in Ann Arbor and coaches Michigan to 11 win seasons

OR

(2) He leaves Ann Arbor and watches us go back 100 years in football, going between 8-4 or 10-2, losing to Ohio State (and any team that utilizes a mobile QB), and getting blown out in the Rose Bowl.

Meanwhile, he'll be at a school whose fan base didnt' start after his head before he even arrived to town, coaching them up to greatness.

Rich Rod wins either way.

Can you imagine the drama if Harbaugh had to face a Rich Rod team later down the road (as Michigan's coach)?

Miami or clemson would be the teams that come calling...  Donna Shalala is the president of the university of miami and she knows coach rod very well from her days in the big east.  Right now she is showing support for mike leach but dont think for a second if coach rod becomes available she will throw her support behind hiring coach rod.  the state of florida is very fond of wv coaches and they always have recruited florida well even back in the don nehlen days. With jimbo fisher a wv native at florida st. and rick trickett a former rich rod assistant offensive line coach at fla st makes me believe miami would make the move very quick with coach rod.. He knows those guys very well and that being miami main rival it would be the right move... Also coach rod has rod smith, calvin magee, and coach frey all those coaches came from south florida and they already have strong ties to the state of florida.

...   whether at MICHIGAN (which I advocate) or at Miami (which would be too f'ing cool otherwise) or at wherever he ends up if the haters get their way.

RichRod is a good man, a simple man from the poor of West Virginia who says  ' yu all ' and doesn't speak that well but I don't think he deserves the anger and hate which is coming at him and lets not forget he is an offensive GENIUS.
