Poole clutch for Warriors, helping their playoff seeding
Including Poole's 8 straight free throws in the 4th quarter.
Poole Party…
Seems like an oddly timed story, since he was 3/19 yesterday! But in general he has been really good. And he did hit a bunch of FT.
Per ESPN,
'Poole is coming off the hottest month of his career. He led the league for made 3-pointers in March (67), scored 20 or more points in 17 consecutive games and averaged 25.4 points, 4.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds through 19 games.'
Sadly, this is not an oddly timed comment. So many Michigan fans, including many/most on this board threw shit on this young man at the slightest hint of an opportunity. It was really way beyond pathetic-the criticism he took was deeply misinformed.
You’re the best Michigan fan ever!

The vast majority of the responses on this board were either messages thanking him for his shot against Houston and wishing him luck, or opinions expressing skepticism that a sophomore with one year as a starter who averaged 12.8 points in his final Michigan season had a good chance to make it in the NBA.
Poole has proven that the people holding the opinion in the latter category were wrong, but that opinion is hardly "throwing shit" on anybody.
Poole's been phenomenal for the Warriors, along with Stef and Klay he's been one of GS's big 3.
JP's shooting percentages are right up there with Curry's and shooting over 92% from the line. Looking forward to maybe a Phoenix-GS Western Conference Finals.
Definitely. It's a lot of fun watching him play with that Warriors squad.
Who saw Poole blowing up like this in the league? Especially after his suspect play to end his career at Michigan and then starting the NBA in the same way?
Major kudos to him and the Warriors.
There were adult reasons, other than him, that his career ended as it did at Michigan. And, yes, this kid had NBA talent.

I always had a hunch he’d be good. An excellent shooter, ability to create his own shot, and plus athleticism? Only a matter of time before he became a starter in the league.
#SplashAndDrip ?
It's been wild to see Poole make the jump. The talk around him was always "NBA potential that will take him a long time to reach." Always kind of a bummer seeing guys leave well before their breakout like JP, Gary, etc. but rooting hard for Jordan regardless.
Poole might be the front runner for the Most Improved. I’m glad to see him keep working hard on his game, his handle is much tighter than his time here. He has that ball on a string.

While having a good season, he's not going to beat Ja this year. My betting app doesn't have Poole in the top 7 for what it's worth.
I will go to my grave thinking about mgoblog every time I hear the name Jordan Poole. . . then utter a little happy chuckle.

Another Beilen recruit thriving in the NBA.

Jordan Poole ended up leading the NBA in free throw percentage this year at 92.5%. And with Steph Curry finishing second, they became the first teammates to go 1-2 in that category since 1987.
I'm excited to see how Poole plays this postseason. I have a feeling a strong showing could lead to him being a true trending star.
