Just a couple today.

Rooting for Cornell. Can't decide about Game 2 - I hate Minnesota but I know we can beat them.
Tomorrow I know whom I'm rooting for.
Not scurred of Minny but the FF is in St Paul. Kinda would rather they not own the building.
The Boston teams are so good... hopefully at least one of them goes down today or tomorrow...
Would be fun to see Cornell advance too.
Ultimately... let's just take care of business ourselves. Perfect opportunity for revenge for last weekend's ref show.
Pulling for Cornell in game 1
Game 2 Im torn between dealing with obnoxious Goofer fans and having to potentially deal with a really good BU team
Hopefully Cornell doesn't pass it to the other team in the slot again.
GOAL CORNELL! 1-0!
Interference on Denver @ 11:41.
Phew, SH chance is saved.
Rats! Denver ties it @ 18:28.
[Edit] 1-1, after one.
2nd period under way.
If Cornell and Boston University win today, then they'll meet in the Frozen Four semifinals. Cornell beat Boston U 2-1 this season in late November at Madison Square Garden. BU also split with North Dakota at home in early November, winning 3-2 and losing 5-4 in overtime.
Most of the Boston College and Boston U games have been on ESPN+ this season, thanks to the Hockey East contract with ESPN, so I've seen both of them play on TV several times. BC looks to be unbeatable.
I wonder how much the refs will let go in our game tomorrow. Saw a Denver player haul someone down, no call, then a holding the stick/falling takedown by Denver, no call.
Denver seems to get away with lots of grabby stuff. Cornell looking better than I expected.
They actually called a penalty. Interference on Cornell @ 19:22.
[Edit] OK, so it was kind of a big hit, kinda after the puck was gone.
Fuck. Denver PPG w 4.8 sec left. 2-1.
3rd period under way.
This Cornell/Denver game has been played at a pretty low level.
4:52 left. Time running out on Cornell, which trails 1-2.
Maybe I’m looking at this through B10-colored glasses, but neither DU nor Cornell look like they are quite at the level of UM/MSU, even Minnesota.
Oh, man! Empty net, but Cornell player couldn't get it there, bounced off his stick wide.
WUT? Slashing on Cornell with 2:35 left.
That’s a nuts call at that stage of the game. Wonder if some B10 refs snaked their way onto the ice.
So many missed wide open nets...
Guess that last one wasn't as wide open as I thought but both teams missed at least one shot with no goalie in the vicinity.
PK'd, Cornell pulls goalie, gets robbed at side of net*, Denver wins.
*D'OH! Needed to elevate puck.
Entertaining end to that game. Would have loved to see Cornell get a real chance with the empty net.
Cornell got lucky when their goalie and d-man were fighting for the puck behind the net and knocked it right to the Denver guy standing in front of the net... somehow it didn't end up in goal. Jumped the stick or something.
Love all of the classic sweaters on this year’s qualifiers.
Have to go with the Gophers here. Because fuck Hockey East.
Minny starting to work the BU superstars
And exactly how many Middlestadt brothers are there? Are we getting cousins into the mix here.
Minny opportunistic and winning 50/50s — 2-0.
Brutal by Close.
What's the exact opposite of a snapshot? Because that was it.
Close caught not knowing exactly what to do. The other Hutson makes is 2-1
Feels like BU has had more possession and chances, but Minnesota more dangerous.
Proof that either big refs are terrible (obvi) or others are, BU goal would have been disallowed for interference if M had scored it.
Not many penalties in the playoffs, they let them play
From your fingers to God’s eyes tomorrow.
Justen Close...woof
Here to root for Minny and the upset
Illinois gave up a 30-0 run against UConn in BBall. Ha! (Sorry, there's no where to put this and it's not worth it's own thread.)
Same. Uconn with that Duke whistle.
I don't see them losing until Clingan is gone. So glad M didn't get that guy. /s

The Illinois thread was yesterday. Someone wanted them out NOW. Got his wish.
Oof! What a great couple chances for Minny.
BU-MN is being played at an absurdly higher level than DU-CU.
