OT: very OT but a tiny example of some positive good of Michigan football

OT: very OT but positive

There was a story in the wedding section of the NY Times on Nov. 13, 2020 “She Married the Priest” about a woman (Ms. Folmer) who met priest (Mr. Morris) who was working as a liaison for a cardinal. Ultimately, he left the priesthood and they got married.  You can read it yourself at https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/13/style/she-married-the-priest.html but down in the piece, there is this passage:

In October, they turned a serious corner, and it was Mr. Morris who suggested they take their relationship to the next level. “He just turned to me one day while we were watching a Michigan football game and said, ‘I just want to be with you — just you, no one else,’” Ms. Folmer said.

While these are indeed dark times for Michigan football, it still has some mojo out there doing positive things for the world. The interesting part is that he overlapped with the time the team visited the Vatican and met the Pope so perhaps that is why they were watching (?) since neither of them have a direct UM tie.

They were watching a Michigan football game and he thought “there has to be more to life than this crap,” and decided to roll the dice and ask her to marry him.
