What a bum.

Though if there is anyone hotter than Cabrera right now, it might be Brandon Inge.  He is a man possessed right now.  He's up over .270, with a bunch of extra base hits.

Detroit has been disgustingly good at Comerica so far this season.  In fact, only Atlanta (30-10 at Turner) has been better than the Tigers (29-12) at their own park.  Now, I don't expect Los Tigres to continue to blaze a trail that hot at home, but if they can get their road record closer to .500 (currently 16-25 away from the D), look out for October.

Jose Bautista hits an inside-the-parker?!  I'm assuming all three outfielders crashed into each other as the baseball rolled harmlessly to the wall.

Actually, that probably isn't that far off (OF made a diving attempt and came up short, ball rolled to the wall).  Please advise.

I was actually really close, it was Span and Young nearly crashing into each other, letting the ball roll to the wall in left-center.   Miscommunication is key.

Excellent job of covering first on that 3-6-1 double play.  Probably the toughest DP to turn in baseball.  Nice job, kid.

6-5 going into the top of the 9th. morneau leaves the game after getting injured on a hard slide into second. i wonder if that will affect his status for the all star game?

No one likes baseball.  Except for those that like soccer.  I don't understand people taht hate soccer but love baseball.  Baseball is just as, if not more, boring as soccer.  Just a ton of standing around.

The Twins get all the attention year in and year out while the Tigers get disrespected.  I hope Leyland can motivate his team to close the deal this year.  They always seem to be below average against the AL Central.

As an O's fan (raised in Baltimore), it hurts to say this, but if the Tigers HADN'T swept it would have been a shocker.  I am just glad the Tigers are now in a better position to catch up on the Twins.

That said, I would be surprised to see the Tigers get stronger as the season goes on, especially with the gentle slide towards mediocrity that they seem to make every September.
