OT: MSU Student Charged With Assault of the Pie Variety

Senator Carl Levin (D-Michigan) joined a well-documented list of famous people who have taken pies in the face Monday, when a Michigan State student hit the lawmaker with a confectionery projectile during a question and answer session at a deli in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Ahlam Mohsen, the 23-year-old perpetrator of the saccharine assault, later told local news that the act was meant to protest the perceived pro-war legislative record of Senator Levin, who is chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Mohsen was arrested and charged with assault and battery after the incident, but has yet to be arraigned, CNN reports.

Carl Levin is one of the most liberal,anti-war people in the senate.Big Rapids is kinda pretty though,I miss the area.

Usually, I would use this as an opportunity to skewer MSU. However, "career politician" for either party ranks below "Spartan" on the food chain for me, so I'm going to have to subjugate my gag reflex and side with Sparty on this one.
It probably won't ever happen again, though.

But not to the face. Waste of a perfectly good pie, and don't really think anyone deserves it. Kind of wierd a MSU student would do that to a liberal politician, would think she would be too busy scattering rose petals, but the attacker may have a screw loose. Um, I guess I just have to say that I thought it was a low blow, oh, and I've now lived in Big Rapids for 5 months and love it!!

its ok. we know carl loves UM more anyway. he was at our michigan state tailgate 2 years ago and was fucking hammered walking around with Mary Sue. several great pictures of him doing ridiculous poses with college democrat stickers all over him. if only i had the pictures to share.
