Submitted by mgohusker on

I've been around the KU fans at a few Final Fours.  Admittedly limited study, but next to Butler, I have found them perhaps the nicest, most generous and reasonable of  fan bases.  Certainly when compared to the mindless mindset of the Kentucky crowd.

The UK fans are pretty obnoxious for sure but they're far from mean spirited and downright douchebaggish quite like OSU, MSU, Bama and some others. They've certainly got a high view of themselves but they don't really go out of their way to get in your face. I sat surrounded by UK fans at that game and they were pretty gracious.

Nebraska fans are very nice and courteous as a whole. I was at the game at the Big House the year Nebraska joined the B1G.

After the game, my brother and I ended up walking and talking with a huge group of their fans back to the golf course. We ended up pulling all our trucks around into a circle, sat on the tailgates and talked football and drank beer until the police kicked us off the course.

good-natured fun, and kudos to those KU fans that had such pleasant and upbeat reactions.  as mentioned above, i do wonder if a couple of those turned into MMA matches on the spot but i guess only the editor and ali will know.

I was in Las Vegas for that shot and remember the entire casino going crazy. They had just installed some of those video screens at blackjack, roulette, etc. tables and actually stopped all bets in my vicinity for about 5 minutes as every table was going so nuts.
