got 7 into the tournament.  Feel that this is a down year for the conference yet they go 7 deep.  Also was over on ESPN looking at their DRAFT predictions for the top 30 draft prospects.  Have to admit that I felt a little underwhelmed by the list of top prospects there.  They project guys who come off the bench and average 5 points /game to be a first round pick.

I love college basketball but feel like it is a down year.  Maybe I am projecting my sadness for Michigan this year and the frustrating year they had......although coming out of the other side of this - watch out for the Wolverines next year - with or without Caris.

I really doubt it about State. I think Virginia is by far the best two seed. MSU beat them last year but I think this year's Virginia team is much better than this year's MSU team. I would be very surprised if MSU beat them in the second round.

I would put Colorado state in over UCLA, but otherwise my arguments are all over seeding. The seeding seems to be done by dart board this year. Wichita state as a seven is just egregious. And Georgetown is a four? Dayton at home and then in Ohio? I would also switch Texas and Boise. And it's hilarious that MSU and Iowa are the same seed. Also don't get the sec getting five teams but whatever. It seems that the committee rewarded teams just for playing in a good conference. I half expected to see TCU called.

I have no idea why they are in the play in game. They should've been in the field easily. Their lack of depth is concerning, so this pretty much assures a quick exit having to play an extra game.

But Sibert and Pollard will keep in any game. Those two are solid.

I would rather have seen some of these mid-majors get in over some of these Big Ten teams that did not on the road (Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue).

After watching Kentucky the last few weeks; I just can't imagine anyone else winning this tournement.  Wisconsin is a good team; but with Gossard and Keonig against the 6'6" Harrison twins and WCS, Karl A Towns, and Dakari Johnson to throw at Kaminsky I don't think they can beat UK.

I mean; Devin Booker is a role player on that team.  I bet they don't win by less than 10 on their way to the title.

Gasser and Koenig are both 6'4".  Wisconsin has great size. I don't think anyone matches up with Kentucky either, but Wisconsin's size is the reason some pundits think they'd have a chance.

Kentucky will absolutely overwhelm the field with their defense. They have length, athleticism, depth, and their ability to recover is as good as I've ever seen. Wisconsin is tough this year because they can score from every position on the floor and they pass the ball well, but Kentucky can defend a team with multiple offensive threats. They are good enough to hound a guy like Kaminsky but still quick and long enough to recover when he passes out of a double/triple team. Maybe a team with bigs who can shoot can draw WCS and Towns out of the paint but Kentucky is just so good. Now that their goal is in site, they will play with a consistent intensity they have only flashed when they've needed to this year. I think they are going to make some teams look downright silly on offense.

I see that FYS is scheduled for Friday.  If they give them a prime time spot that could keep their hockey fans from coming to the Joe.

I am not picking on him, but Jon Horford transferred to Florida and is siting home with a sub-.500 record on a team that started the year with high expectations.  Had he been on UM's roster, I'm guessing Michigan plays better and, at the very least, they are a bubble team.  It's just crazy looking back and realizing how these decisions wind up affecting both teams.  I don't blame him for wanting to transfer, but just something I realized when I checked Florida's NIT chances.
