Moore's offensive philosophy

I keep seeing Moore's name tossed around as a potential heir apparent if Harbaugh leaves.  It got me to researching his experience a bit because one thing I don't understand is his philosophy.  Between our co-coordinators and Harbaugh's fingers on the offense, I have no idea what a "Sherrone Moore offense" even looks like.

Moore played two years at Butler CC before transferring to Oklahoma where he played under Bob Stoops (Kevin Wilson as OC).  That makes me think he's got some "spread to pass" roots, even though he was a lineman.

His coaching prior to UofM was at Louisville (almost entirely during Charlie Strong's tenure).  Charlie strong of course came from the defensive side.  They had a couple offensive coordinators, but the majority of his time there was under Shawn Watford running a pro style offense.

From there, Moore moved to CMU where Dan Enos was coach.  I dont have a good recollection of their offense at that time, but I believe they were pro style.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, he is an unknown.  His playing days were more spread, but his coaching stints have been more pro style.  I think one of the biggest obstacles he is going to face is explaining to Warde what a "Sherrone Moore" offense is, and what we can expect out of it.   This is where the co-coordinator thing hurts us because we don't have a clear body of work to judge him.

For consistency's and stabilty sake, and the potential for him to be a great head coach (despite his inexperience), I think we need to go with Moore. If we bring in an outside hire, that coach will likely change our philosophy on everything, most of our current coaches likely leave, current players/commit may transfer or decommit and you could be looking at a huge downturn in success for at least the first couple years, and just as we have finally found a successful identity these past 2 years. Sherrone Moore as head coach would keep that identity and likely keep most of the coaches around. Plus he has a great reputation among the players so I bet many of our current players and commits wouldn't transfer or decommit. And he obviously can coach, given his awesome offensive lines the past 2 years.
