We were contractually obligated to have 1 B1G game on BTN. Considering Illinois will probably get Big Noon Kickoff it was always going to be the Rutgers or Nebraska game and they were likely going to put us in their prime time spot.

I’m just glad this isn’t the game before the OSU game, because I could see a sludge fart type of game at night sandwiched between two rivals. Maybe after bringing Paul back home we will take out some aggression for a half against Rutgers and then bring in the backups and keep everyone healthy for this stretch run.

Night game!  Rivalry!  RUTGER!  BIG TEN!   111!!!11!!

(I don't know how else to denote proper inflection - voice rising, intensity ramping up until it descends into incomprehensible screaming about SCHIANO!  FENCE THE GARDEN!  78!  RABBLE!  RABBLE RABBLE!)

Is there an "early read" on what time the Michigan - Nebraska game will kick off on November 12th?

I know the B1G won't announce until next Monday, but - a 3:30 pm start could be a good thing.

(I posted this on the other thread on the Rutgers game, and copied it to here.  My apologies for the duplication.)

The other notable games (from my perspective) that Saturday include:

Bama at LSU,

Tennessee at Georgia,

Texas Tech at TCU, and

Clemson at ND (at night).

And, the current forecast for Piscataway on Saturday November 5th is - a high of 59 degrees and an overnight low of 41.

Late reply here, but it generally depends on which Wi-Fi system the airplane you are on has. Delta has four different systems/providers. If you are on an airplane with Viasat connectivity, streaming is usually pretty decent. Viasat-equipped airplanes can be identified by a sticker on the airplane to the right of the boarding door. The other three systems (provided by Gogo) do not in most cases support streaming.

I'm getting old and don't like the night kick times. I'd much prefer 3:30. Never thought I'd say it. Though, I'm sure the players love the night kicks, and it is about them, so whatever.

Have we ever gone an entire season without playing a mid-afternoon game?

We're down to Nebraska and Illinois as our last 2 chances for my favorite starting time.

Illinois will probably be a Big Noon game.  There are not a ton of good Big Ten/Big 12 games that week, so unless Illinois falls apart it seems likely.

I know many are fans of the mid-afternoon game but as the Illinois game is the game immediately prior to the OSU one, I much prefer that we get that game out of the way ASAP (i.e., noon game) and let the coaches and players turn their focus to OSU earlier.  If I could, I wish it were played Friday or even earlier for those reasons.

The good news is that the biggest game of the day (Tennessee-Georgia) is on at 3:30 so we won't miss that.

The bad news is that we'll miss both Alabama-LSU and Clemson-ND.  (My attention is 100% focused on U-M when they're playing, so I'm not going to try to watch other games on at the same time).

My wife and I are taking our two boys to this game.  We live about 2 hours away in suburban NY (long island).  My older son is a sophomore in HS and is just starting to look at schools, so the night game gives us an opportunity to see the RU campus.  Questions for those who have been to a game at Rutgers (or just to the campus):

1.  Is the stadium close to the center of campus?

2.  How is the food in the stadium?

3.  Recommendations for a good lunch place?

4.  Anything that we should try to see / experience on campus that a prospective student would like?
