Big fall for Ohio St!

Miss State win will look a lot less impressive with time too. Similar teams too with good defenses shitty offenses.

This board is really strange sometimes. I'm getting down voted for making the logical argument that Michigan should be ranked ahead of a team with a clearly worse record. The counter argument will leave a deserving non-SEC team out of the playoffs.
Even if you disagree, it's a sensible argument based on the facts. How could any Michigan fan down vote that?
It's bizarre. Did some here drink the SEC kool aid? Are there Michigan haters here? Lol.

Perhaps the last two B1G appearances in the playoffs have something to do with our ranking. Shoutout to both of our rivals for soiling themselves on national television and ruining everything

But it's not really a logical arugment. It's a total homer argument based solely on comparing losses.
Michigan has a marginally (tiny margin) "better" loss as ND appears to be a little better than Florida and both were by a TD on the road.
LSU has better wins though. And it's not even close.
S&P+ (non-biased statistical system) ranks of LSU's best four wins:
UGA: 5
Miami (FL): 16
Auburn: 17
Miss St: 20
S&P+ ranks of UM's best wins:
Wisconsin: 13
MSU: 42!
Nebraska!: 61
Maryland: 63
LSU has 4 top 20 wins. Michigan has 1 top 40(!) win.
I think Michigan is a better team. So does S&P+.
But without question, LSU has a better resume, i.e. combination of Ws and Ls.
Doesn't really matter. Win out and M goes to the playoff.

SEC Bias? Well, I suppose if we look at some of the biographies:
Rachel is a Louisiana native and loves her LSU Tigers... Rachel...enjoys talking about the SEC- (Ranks Michigan 7 and GA 5)
Contrast that to even the Michigan reporter:
I help cover University of Michigan football for MLive Media Group. Covered the Detroit Pistons the last two seasons, along with the Detroit Tigers and preps. Central Michigan grad. - (Ranks Michigan 5, and the other top pics the same as most everyone else).

State of Ohio needs at least one more power 5 team. That would go a long way toward fixing the Ohio State built in advantage. Eff them.

tPOSu did not fall nearly enough in the polls. Still top 9 in coaches? They just got destroyed by a 3-3 Purdue. 4+ touchdowns. I kept waiting for them to do their 2nd half pullaway which they always seem to do. But no, the game really wasn't close after halftime. And with about 10 minutes or so to go you could tell that the entire team just simply quit.

That was the worst performance I have seen from OSU to date. There ship is taking on water.

Purdue got some votes with 3 losses. Good for them, they passed the eye test.

Although I'm sure Michigan would put up more of a fight against them. I'm still glad that Michigan doesn't have Purdue scheduled for this season. Heaven help us if Michigan gets to the Big Ten championship game, and see's Purdue waiting for them.
