Day 3 from Maui after a blowout of Chaminade. Chaminade beat Cal by 24 in the earlier game. Very important they win today to help our NCAA resume. Game starts at 5 on ESPN 2. Go Blue!!

But mostly because I'd like him to stick around for a while. But also he's not likely to get the exposure and buzz many one and dones do on a team as limited as this one appears to be (employs reverse psychology).

In any case, nice to have a player with natural skill clearly a step above most competition from the get go. It's been a rare thing for Michigan in recent memory.

Give Simpson credit where it's due. Great drive to get Mo an open look to seal it. Seems like Simmons on the outside looking in with the pg rotation.

ever finds a consistent level of play, we could be damn good. Have to stop having lengthy lapses like we did for a large chunk of the second half, though. Great to get the win. A good learning experience for the team (I hope), Coach Beilein and staff can use it to their advantage, and Msuizen won't be showing up immediately with his bitching.

Only caught the end of the game, but it looked like a typical early Beilein team. Dangerous in spurts; lost in others. They'll be in every game, I think, but they're going to have figure out who to run their offense through. It sounds like Matthews was it early on, then got cramps or a pointer, and then they floundered a bit. I like the last couple of possessions went through Mo, even though he absolutely got away with a foul that last steal.

Charles Matthews looks like a player from Kentucky. Long, shifty, can finish....anyways i was just amazed by the eye test with him. Dude looks like a player recruited by Kentucky. He gonna be dope AF
