alright listen. Marve is a good qb. better than anyone we have on the roster this year or next.
he has college experience and has won at the d1 level. can run the spread option and has great instincts.
but you slaps want to rule him out over some dumbasss suspensions? do you really care about those he would most likely be in the mix in two years if he came her eif not starting. have you even seen him play?

How exactly do you know he can run the spread option? That's not the offense they run at Miami.

And yeah, I've seen him play. He wasn't even the best QB on his own team. Hurricane fans were going crazy this year that Harris should've been starting more.
Marve didn't show much of anything this year. He made bad reads and held onto the ball too long, just like a freshman.

I'm not sure I would credit him for getting to the bowl game.....
...he threw 13 more passes than Threet this year and had 6 more INT's than him. He's not good.

I never said he was GREAT I said hes a better qb than anyone on the roster.
i think he IS good. its about the talent he has. Im sure rich rod could do something with him. Like i said, it couldnt HURT the team to have him. If anything it would HELP the qb situation.

Plus we're probably going to get either Nader Furrha or A.J. Westendorp as preferred walk ons, so this isn't going to happen anyway.

Yeah, from what I've heard he is eligible. Newton is transfering I believe because he was told that Brantley would be the starter once Tebow left. They may have cleared him on the laptop charge "apparently" because he bought a previously stolen laptop. My story may be wrong but that sounds a little shady to me.
Newton would be a good fit for us in two years, and it looks like Flordia will make sure he stays out of the SEC.

If Marve came here, he could only play when Forcier is a sophomore, at which point the best-case scenario would have him with a death grip on the position. Marve would likely be relegated to third string at best, with Threet on the roster having experience in the offense.
Besides, he's not a good quarterback. Anyone (except, puzzlingly, Randy Shannon) who watched both Miami quarterbacks in action this season would come to the very rapid conclusion that Harris is better.
