You know when Jason Whitlock calls you fat, you are really asking for this sort of comment.

We now return to Whitlock alternating between praising Jeff George, saying nice things about Brady Hoke, shamelessly plugging Jeff George, hating Brady Hoke, and slurping Jeff George.

....which has an epic Mangino photo in it is here (LINK). Paul Rhoads had this to say, and he does sound quite pleased, of course:

"He has an imaginative offensive mind, an ability to play to his players' strengths, a track record of winning and a tremendous familiarity with the Big 12 Conference. In terms of calling plays and executing a game plan, he is top shelf. He has learned from a 'Who's Who' of college coaches, effectively led his own championship program and is respected throughout the coaching ranks."

Forgive me.

Tom Herman previously was successful in Ames, so it isn't impossible to think that Mangino can be as well. Paul Rhodes is a tremendous recruiter (for Ames, anyway) and extremely well respected (in addition to being a really good guy).  Even though Mangino made some mistakes at Kansas, he should be able to stay under the radar up in the booth for ISU. I'll be rooting for them.

Guy is a good coach. Took an abysmal program and won a BCS bowl. Living in KC, there aren't too many people that don't wish he was still around. As a KSU grad, I'm pretty glad he isn't at KU anymore.
