Late Afternoon Games Open Thread
With So. Miss polishing off a big win vs. Houston, we can look forward to this afternoon's late games:
Iowa St. at #11 KSU - FSN (currently 17-13 K-State at half. They could get a BCS spot if TCU is unable to move up)
UNLV at #18 TCU - Vs. (currently 21-3 in 2nd. See BCS potential)
#22 Texas at #17 Baylor - ABC (No, Baylor will not be in BCS)
#14 Georgia vs. #1 LSU - CBS
Hopefully this last weekend will deliver some more good games. Discuss and enjoy.

Wow I think I might actually not watch the BCS Champ game if Bama and LSU rematch. Holy Fuck that would be boring.

Georgia D > 'Bama D

How tall is Les or how short is that reporter?
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:59 PM ^
5'4" and 4'6" respectively.

If Georgia wins, I doubt the loser of MSU/Wisky, Houston, Oklahoma (if they lose) will drop below us AND TCU. I don't think TCU will qualify for that automatic for moving up two spots to 16. There is still a chance IMO, that simulator just assumes TCU will move up with a Houston loss and take our spot.

If OSU wins today, I would absolutely vote them into the championship game regardless of how this one ends. It's obvious by now that the SEC has awful offenses. Let's test an SEC team against someone with an actual offense, please.
Also, MOAR Tracy.

Think Tracy Wolfson is a Michigan alumnus
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:06 PM ^
You are correct. I think she needs to come to ABC.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:02 PM ^
Ivon wins big!
EDIT: She had real good time.

That's crazy! Dr. Pepper is the best thing that ever happened to me, too.
And they didn't even give me 100k.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:05 PM ^
what a sweet heart...good for her. lol @ Dr. Pepper being the greatest thing to ever happen to her. Need to get her up to Michigan to try some Faygo.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:06 PM ^
She will look back and realize how hilarious that was.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:13 PM ^
Faygo > Dr.Pepper.
I havent been home to Michigan in awhile, how much to they charge for a Faygo these days? I think I used to pay .35 and get .10 back on the bottle!
But big up's to Dr.Pepper for the cash.

Texas getting blown out by Baylor now. I just enjoyed saying that so much that I'm not even angry. Griffin III is pooping in Mack Brown's fridge.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:13 PM ^
As Texas is taking the field she says that Ash is coming in when it was clear that McCoy was. Awful.

LSU has ball back deep in GA territory
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Lets see if LSU can get a first down now.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
...and fumbles. Oops.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
we have a first down.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
NomNomNomNOMNOMNoM
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:37 PM ^
I think all the hand wringing was for naught.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
Good lord that honey badger is ridiculous...
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
That is how LSU wins. Georgia derps and short fields
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:40 PM ^
That could have been the most impressive punt return i've ever seen, holy shit
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:51 PM ^
The Heisman should be between RG3 and Montee Ball
RG3 is ridiculous
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:53 PM ^
Todd Grantham bloodied his own lip over Georgia's defensive meltdown....
I'd hate to see their DC TRULY upset....
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:55 PM ^
The Dr Pepper commercial is even on CBS's live stream! I can't escape it.
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
It's no longer, "Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too?"
It's, "You will be a Pepper or else."
December 3rd, 2011 at 6:57 PM ^
With the clobbering Baylor just put on Texas, I could see them getting enough votes in the AP/Coaches polls to jump Michigan (as they already have a HUGE computer lead). Michigan really needs Houston to drop below them.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
.....and it's LSU's ball again. Murray's made awesome passes today, just to the wrong team.
EDIT: Mother of god, the LSU dance team...
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:13 PM ^
Yeah, those things are hideous.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
IMO. Jefferson runs the option pretty bad
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:19 PM ^
I think if Mathieu makes one more big play he has to be a serious thought for the heisman
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:27 PM ^
He should definitely get an invite to NYC. He has turned the tide in both games the last 2 weeks.
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:03 PM ^
It would be hard not to vote for Luck, and I won't mind it if he wins, but I'd do it for Mathieu. Too many damn QB's win it.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:35 PM ^
"The LSU cheerleaders....so much win...."
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:42 PM ^
28-10 inside 9 minutes and Georgia punts. If this isn't the white flag, I don't know what is.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:44 PM ^
Ref just helped a player up?
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:46 PM ^
...almost couldn't tackle Kenny Hilliard. This one might be over, folks.
EDIT: TD Tigers on some "WTF?" moments in the Georgia secondary. Now, it's over.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
Ah yes, and now the traditional pro-SEC lobbying efforts of the CBS announcing crew. It must be the last week of the regular season!
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
Yep. Apparently LSU already has a share of the MNC, and Oklahoma State should just drop their program.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
That is one hell of a corner
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
Why doesn't Georgia just let the last five minutes run down? TD Tigers again.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:56 PM ^
They are an impressive defense. I hope one day we can see Michigan field a similar defense.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
I don't think discounting Alabama is a good idea
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:00 PM ^
Do we make it or not?
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
If Baylor passes Michigan, I will be super pissed off since they have 3 losses. With Houston losing big at home, plus the loser of the Big Ten title game plus Georgia getting pounded by LSU I think our chances are good. Hopefully the voters view us favorably, because the BCS bowls want to snap us up.
