Kudos To Undergroundshirts!! --UPDATED WITH MEASUREMENTS

Submitted by Enjoy Life on
Just received the "Why There's No Mascot In Ann Arbor" Tees from the folks at Undergroundshirts. They look great. I ordered them on Saturday and they arrived today (Wednesday) and I live in Boyne City! Kudos to the MGoStore! PS -- seemed a little itchy when I tried one on, so they are in the washer as I type. Size is right on. EDIT1: Answer to type of Tee: GILDAN - Ultra Cotton. Made in Nicaragua. EDIT2: More Answers: Color is much brighter than they look on MGoStore. Pretty close to the yellow in the MGOBLOG banner. Measurements after washing and drying. I spread them on a table and measured. Width is measured right below the armpit. Small: Length = 22", Width = 17.25" Medium: L = 25", W = 18.5" L (did not order any of these) XL: L = 25", W = 23 2XL: L= 25", W = 25 Yes, the lengths look all the same for M-2XL. The XL that I wear seems the same as my other XL Tees. Nice and loose (the way I like them). I am 6'0" and weigh 190 (soaking wet).

via USPS or UPS? Just curious as I placed my order for the same shirt on Thursday of last week (3-Sep-09) and I still have not received mine. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to wear it to the game this weekend as I will be there. I at least did get the Bo shirt from Richrobots before they stopped selling it.

now get on national TV with it and make me proud-- I wanna hear Craig Patrick talking about the crazy shirt he just saw when he went down to the bathroom.

I appreciate the time and effort spent creating so many shirt designs. I imagine the demand for a solid Denard shirt growing. A profile of an untied cleat in mid-step with the laces on fire? "Shoelace on fire!"

I am torn between a M and L for my MGoShirt purchases. Very interested to know if you notice any shrinkage ("I was in the pool! I was in the pool!") after washing or if the shirt runs true to size. The reason I mention this is because Adidas shirts tend to run large (i.e. my M student shirts from the past 2 seasons seem more like M/L hybrids).

I've actually used these guys a few times in the past and have nothing but great things to say. Plus they are a company that started in Ann Arbor and are now all over the midwest and I like to support that.

Ordered mine Friday I live in Ann Arbor so you have raised my expectations. Either I will wash and wear tonight, or make a trip to Boyne City to procure one. What's your address by the way...

Is it better to wear a shirt that is HILARIOUS to 3% of those that view or smile worthy to 50%? I'm having that dilemma in choosing between the In Rod We Trust shirts. As a true Michigan elitist snob I think I'll go with the 3%.

Question, is the maize of the shirt similar / identical to the maize in the artwork? I am a big fan of that shade, but not so much of the electric maize that Nike and Adidas have put out in the last few years.

Sorry to do this in one post, there were so many questions i figured this was easiest: 1) Do they shrink? All cotton shirts CAN shrink, doesn't matter if they say pre-shrunk or not. Cotton shirts shrink because when the cotton fibers soak up water they swell and contract, and when they dry in quickly in high heat, the fibers do not have enough time to relax and they will stay "shrunken". So to prevent shrinkage, air dry or dry on low heat (conversely, to shrink your shirt, crank it up). 2) What type of shirts do we use? We use Gildan 100% Cotton T-Shirts, mainly because of their "Daisy" color. We feel it is the only acceptable "Maize" color substitute (unlike the electric yellow that Adidas uses - this is not maize and is painful to look at). COMING SOON - American Apparel shirts (although they do not have a good maize color, we will probably stick to white and navy there) 3) Since you know we use Gildan, and i guarantee you have a Gildan T-shirt in your closet, go with the size that your normally order. If you need specifications on sizing, see here: https://www.broderbros.com/cgi-bin/broderliv/webshr/prod-detail.w?sr=50… click the "Specs" tab above the "Gildan" Logo. Note: there can be a 1" variance on these sizes. 4) Can you buy them in our store? Starting tomorrow afternoon-ish, YES you can. We weren't planning on it, but because of the demand we have started to set it up and hope to have it ready by the time people are in town for the game. For those of you who have ordered online already and could have come in person, we apologize, we truly were planning on keeping MGoBlog store separate. Thanks for the support and feel free to email [email protected] with questions, comments, and suggestions.

When will the American Apparel shirts be available? I strongly suggest the 50/50 cotton/poly shirt, they are the best t-shirts ever. Regarding the maize, I think American Apparel's sunshine color would be good. It might not be a perfect Michigan maize, but it is a good color and might lend itself to a more vintage look. Here are the poly-cotton shirts, you can see the sunshine and gold colors here: http://store.americanapparel.net/bb401.html?cid=198
