Kevin Newsome seeks transfer from PSU... again
The former Michigan commitment is once again trying to transfer from COMETOPENNSTATE!!
If you recall, in the winter he requested permission to seek transfer, but changed his mind. Freshman Robert Bolden had also tried to transfer but his request was denied. Going into this season, along with Bolden, he was viewed as Matt McGloin's primary competition for the starting job.
This, coupled with Paul Jones being ineligible, is not a good start to PSU's season. That being said, this probably doesn't hurt PSU's outlook all that much.

And to think, my Penn State friends mocked me a few years ago when I said I was happier with Denard as a QB prospect than Newsome.
Terribly wrong to make it a point to remind them.

Forcier, Newsome, Beaver will all have played at 2 schools.

We dodged a bullet on Newsome and Beaver. They were at the top of our QB list for awhile..

I wasn't too upset when Beaver decomitted, he just didn't seem like a big 10 qb, but I was completely pissed when Newsome decomitted, I thought he was going to be a better Daryll Clark. That being said, I am perfectely happy with Denard.
I was just upset we would never see the Beaver-Cox backfield.

It's Newsome (again) this time. Bolden is no longer asking to transfer.

because the head coach doesn't have enough experience judging quarterback talent.
Its not that he doesn't have the experience, the old bastsrd lost his Coke bottle glasses and can't see which QB is which.

it would be dumb for a coach to deny a transfer, if a kid doesn't want to play for u he isn't going to be worth playing, and he is wasting a scholorship

It must be emphasized when said aloud in a way that people think you just filled your drawers.
And to think I was distrought when this kid decommitted. What a disaster it would have been for us had he ever signed. Yet another example of RRod's questionable decision making when it comes to offering recruits...
How do you bring RR into this thread? Can you honestly say that if Newsome had signed with us and played for RR that any of this would have happened? I mean seriously, because Penn State is where all mobile QBs go and they know exactly how to use them right?
It isn't like the guy is a convicted criminal, he just isn't suited to play for PSU which doesn't mean RR practiced questionable recruiting when he recruited Newsome. Honestly, some people need the heads examined. RR is gone, get over it!
Just wanted to throw his name in the hopper too. He transferred from the BIG HOUSE to the BIG HOUSE.
