Damn he has got smooth hands.

The one where he is playing WR and he effortlessly spins around in the endzone and catches the ball one handed....wow.

I can't wait for him to play under Jackson and Zordich.

I refuse to get too excited. I feel like every summer we see some encouraging footage or get some reason for hope only to have those hopes dashed in the fall. But with that being said, I'm hopeful because of what we saw from jourdan last season as well as what we saw from the rest of the secondary. Many were down on Blake last season, but keep in mind he was our best corner for two seasons. I think the secondary has made significant strides over the past three years. I expect that to continue this season. I really think they are the strongest unit on the team.

JL made some tough catches look easy.  I wonder if JH would consider any defensive players on offense if WR productivity struggles.

Lewis gained valuable experience last year. I always felt his coverage was solid, but his technique and getting his head turned around needed work. This should be a major breakout season for him.

I came across something that had him enrolled in a Military Community College in New Mexico?

It's in everyone's best interest that he turns his life around. His, societies's, tax payers, ect.

Let's hope he does it.

With his ability to run routes, get off the line, and make one handed catches it almost makes you wonder why we don't have him playing WR, considering the lack of proven playmakers we have at that position now.  I guess we have more depth, but he looks like he could be an excellent WR if he decided to be.  But, I'm happy to have him either way.  He should have a nice season, especially if Countess/Stribs can be effective this year and we can generate a little more pass rush.

Well, we know one thing:

Jourdan Lewis is a better cornerback than Jayru Campbell is a wide receiver.

I'm not sure if Campbell has a future in football or not, but he looks awkward trying to run routes. Some people have suggested that he could be an "athlete" and not just a quarterback, but I think he's a pro-style QB all the way...if he's able to continue his career past prep school.

We all have to take a step back and realize the comp, but DAMN...that was LOCK DOWN. His technique is ridiculously good and his recover speed is even better.

Lewis, Countess and Lyons? Yes please.

With a senior Jarod Wilson and the best player on the team in Peppers at safety?

These guys haven't proved anything together, so they shouldn't get the hype (regionally or nationally) right now...but by season's end - that will be the best secondary in the B1G. One of the top groups in the country. I promise you.

Why is Peppers the best player on the team?

Until proven on the field I have Henry/Lewis as the top 2.  Maybe Peppers will prove to be better but it should not be the accepted fact at  this point with scant evidence.  He might not even be the best player in the secondary.  I hope he is because I am a big fan of Lewis.

Secondary will definitely be our best unit to start out the year. Lewis Lyons Countess with Peppers Hill and Wilson up top. If healthy this is the top group in the B1G. With our interior DL depth, this defense has great potential.

As that guys in the video says at the end "WOW!"

That pretty much sums this up....JL is the real deal...cant wait to see what this defensive backfield does when the season starts.

Excited to see this secondary dominate. With Countess, Lewis, and an experienced Lyons, we'll be able to play a more in-your-face, press D on WR's this year which hopefully will help the DL get pressure and cause turnovers. Playing 8 yards off the LOS on 3 & 5 last year was so frustrating!

Having former Cass Tech players work out with their friends in the offseason, showcasing the skills they've honed while playing at Michigan.

After a clinic like that, why would you want attend any other college?  After seeing a former teammate develop like that?

Thanks for being an ambassador, Mr. Lewis.  Keep up the great work.
