Per Adam schefter.

God damn!

[edit: mgowill] Title somewhat misleading.

Browns get Beckham.

Giants get Cleveland’s 1st round pick (No. 17 overall), the second 3rd round pick this year and Jabrill Peppers.

The trade cannot be made final until Wed. at 4 p.m. ET.

Browns crushed this trade for what they need.  They have the best young tandem of WRs now for years with a hot young QB.

The NYGs ate up a bunch of cap space singing OB and then traded him.   Strange and bad move.

It might be nice for Peppers to return home to New Jersey, but the Giants might be the biggest tire fire in the league. Hopefully he'll be able to sign with a contender in a couple years when his contract is up.

Buckeye and Browns fan here.  No one disliked Peppers because he went to Michigan.  Many, including myself, thought he was a major reach as a 1st rounder.  I respect the heck out of him because he plays hard every Sunday and is definitely getting better.  If the Brownies get Earl Thomas (as rumored), that'd still be a major upgrade.

The only people who claim Browns fans hate Michigan kids are idiots and Braylon Edwards.  He didn't realize we grew to hate him because the only things bigger than his yapper are the holes in his hands. Go ask Aaron Shea what he thinks of Browns fans' treatment of UM kids.

OBJ is very gifted but has a ton of mileage on him in 4 years and was starting to show that injury bug.  Not sure he is a difference maker for more than 2-3 years, if he lasts that long.

Giants are getting 1st round quality youth at 3 key positions - Jabrill at safety and likely a franchise QB (Haskins) and a key 1st round DL stud.

Both team's needs were met.  And really both player's needs were met.  Jabrill is probably doing one his backflips to be heading back East to his virtual hometown.

Glad to see what he'll do away from Gregg Williams. Was very clear he was a square peg that Gregggggg was trying to force into a round hole come hell or high water.

If it turns out he was too much of a tweener for the NFL, it doesn't change a thing about how valuable he was to Michigan.

Don’t know why people are happy Peppers left Cleveland. It’s kinda sad as he was all in for the Browns and was a key component in them growing and becoming a way better team. He just had his best year in the NFL, the Browns are exciting, they are young, the D was fast, and he really seemed to like Cleveland in all honesty. I actually think the trade sucks and I’m pissed for him, I am not even a Browns fan but anyone can see he was growing and his best football is in front of him and he was just shipped off to the new dumpster fire of the NFL. Hope he balls out this year.
