How's Everyone Feeling About Leilon Willingham?

Submitted by Shakespeare on

TomVH reported that a couple nights ago Willingham had an in house visitor named Brady Hoke. He also reported that Willingham was still planning on visiting UCF this weekend and announcing on signing day. That is where the information stands. Anyone have a feeling one way or another on Leilon? I've been watching his tapes and he looks like he would be a HUGE pickup for the class - especially this late in the game.

That's a well-done video!  This is the kind of player Michigan needs at LB - someone who has lived and breathed the position in high school.  Basically, we need players who already have experience playing the position and are ready to move to the next level (as opposed to switching players from other positions who have no clue how to play LB and then struggle).  This has been a constant problem for MIchigan due to poor recruiting, players washing out, transferring, or just not being good enough for Big 10 play.  Glad to see Hoke and staff recognizing the problem and doing something about it.

Of all the prospective commits, I'm least concerned with Willingham and Clark. Not going to dig in BKFinest's bag of tricks but I expect him to go blue.

UCF would have to go all Cecil Newton on his ass to influence him in any way, shape, or form.

I think he's blue.

I was thinking the same thing.  Then I thought.. "Orlando?  Really?  I mean... What's the attraction there?  Disney?  Cougars?  Fat people?".  I guess I could see it, him being from CO and all and wanting to go somewhere warm.

chances are very good that he winds up Blue. I would be shocked if his trip to UCF has any affect on Michigan's chances. If we grab this kid and Cooper we will wind up with a very solid defense class

I definitely hope he goes blue, which I think he will. I live in Denver and Mullen is a straight up powerhouse when it comes to football. It would be awesome to have someone from my area on U of M's roster and also being from Colorado I definitely would not mind going to Orlando right about now.
