I really like Avery. I think he's going to be a very nice CB for the rest of his career. Good No. 2 to Countess' No. 1 after next year.

Great play in a big moment by an under the radar contributor. See also Gibbons banging home that 40 plus yarder right after the double penalty. A 6 point lead changes the approach defensively especially.

GIBBONS PUTS IT THROUGH THE UPRIGHTS!!! AHHHHHHHH!!

He seems to be the one causing or recovering fumbles. He put his helment on the ball and popped it out on a kick return. Unfortunately, Ohio still recovered it.

Not to be a party pooper, but this does not need its own thread.

Very few of these need to be stand alone threads, but hey, we slayed the dragon. It's okay for tonight.

Good INT, but we would've had better field position if he dropped it.

Because it was 4th down, a batted ball would've put us at the LoS. Because Avery had (almost) no return on the ball, it was not as far downfield as the LoS. Thus, if he had batted it, we would've gotten better field position (for the victory formation). NTIM;BO

If coach Hoke wants them in there, I'm there biggest fan! God bless these young men...

Avery has been eclipsed a bit with the emergence of Countess, but he has been a solid corner all year, and with Floyd also coming back, the defensive backfield should be a position of strength for this team going forward, a shocking situation given the tire fire that existed a couple of years ago.

Off the aneurysm in my brain that was about to burst...

He took his lumps last year, especially in the Iowa game. It's great to see him get some hero points this year.

Just think about next year, no freshman in the secondary, returning starters all around. It's a beautiful thought

Playmakers... Avery is one of many on M's D. Great play young man. On a side note; interesting that Frank Clark was in the game on Avery's interception

Indeed a victory formation, if it mattered, but the INT on the stat sheet for the young man, and the secondary, would have been good.
GO BLUE.
No victory, save the Woodson/Boston game, have I savored more.
