Dior Mathis says two new schools has emerged as his leader.
It seems that Mr. Mathis likes Oregon a bunch and is developing a crush on our little brother. At least, that is what I've heard. Maybe Other Brian or TomVH can correct me if I am wrong.
Here is my thing, I think that we should recruit instate. I really do. I love seeing the home grown playing in the big house. But I must admit, I am growing a little weary of this kid. It is like he thinks he is the Otter version 2.
Sparton is rebelling and beating the system. He's a really good clicker. Strong fingers for reasons he has described above.
been on this board this weekend, lowering points. I have no idea why I bother you so much, but I am not going anywhere. I am actually more inclined to post here more. Everybody else on this board has made me feel welcome, but you. You need to stop being so bitter.
If you provided logical arguments and contributed to the blog I would have no problem with it. You do not do either.
the Cincinnati Bearcats have taken over the state of Ohio. So far the Bearcats have 11 recruits from the great Buckeye state compared to 4 for OSU. No doubt in my mind that Cincinnati is now The college football powerhouse in Ohio.
I'm no recruiting expert, just a slappy that likes to watch football. That said, I watched Mathis' highlights and was not overly impressed. It seemed like a jump in competition would give him trouble. This was before he switched his leading schools, so I wasn't biased at the time (or more than usual).
He'll probably become the next Deion Sanders now, but I don't see it.
I'm not sure it's worth reading much into. The kid has switched his top schools about 10 times now.
I remember when this all started, and he said if Miami offered, he would commit on the spot.
I'm not saying he'll end up at Michigan, I just don't pay attention to what kids like him say. He keeps things close, and then says what's on his mind at that time.
It helps me understand him knowing that.
has turned this into the gayest topic
rich rod better get him
If we get Cullen Christian along with Avery and one other highly ranked DB (Knight, Grimes, Anderson) which is entirely possible (maybe likely) then what do we lose by not getting Mathis?
our big d commit
d commit as in defensive commit? Or d commit as in de-commit?
People need to remember Grimes and Knight are and will both be hotly contested prospects. Like others have said it's July 5th and we have a long way to go, and these kids change their minds a lot.
However, I'm hoping a better season will help sway some of the higher ranked players we are waiting on as well.
You are missing the point. Mathis represents the Cass Tech connection and if MSU gets him, it is a recruiting milestone and a reflection of whats goin on in the state. Gholston, Hicks and Boisture were huge,Oliniyian and Mathis would be unreal. I dont get why this has to immediately mean you guys cant recruit. You can. Were just gettin some dudes too.
So MSU gets better at recruiting in Michigan and Michigan gets better at recruiting in Florida and such. MSU doesnt even have the pipeline to Ohio/Penn. like U of M does.
You are correct, Mathis has Oregon and MSU as his "leader".
