Congratulations to the coach with the most BIG championships ever

Submitted by massblue on

With her team winning the BIG championship this weekend, Bev Plocki has won more BIG championship than any other male or female coach in BIG history (she is tied with former Indiana swimming coach).

Her record is just unbelievable (link):

Go Bev! She was the first person I ever interviewed as a writer at the Daily. She knew I was nervous. She was so generous and patient and called over all her gymnasts to give me quotes.

How can we claim to be the Leaders and the Best when she has 6th, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd place finishes on her resume?

She should have been fired years ago.

I imagine she sticks around for at least one more year to make it officialy first place. That's one heck of a record. Almost a quarter of a century of B1G championships.

On a side note, why did USA gymnastics even allow State access to their program. Michigan is obviously hands down the better choice, and we would'nt have allowed any of that stuff to go on.

Absolutely phenomenal.  Domination like that is so hard to achieve in modern sports.  I wish I understood gymnastics better & could follow/appreciate it more fully, but I definitely have great respect for what she's done in A2.
