I think Shaw has just as much speed as Carlos, if not more. Don't know if he can absorb a hit, haven't seen enough of him yet against quality teams, but I think he certainly has the potential to be a great back. Looking for him to do some nice things against a tough Iowa defensive front

I'm young Mike Shaw can at least absorb a hit as well as Brown. I've never seen a back up running back with so many injuries in a 4yr career.

Brown's been excellent for the most part so far, but Minor at full strength probably rescussitates (sp? ahh fuck it) the run game the way we were thinking it would be this year.
I think where we will miss Brown the most is his presence in the passing game as an option out of the backfield.
But, i think we'll be fine w/o him, as long as Minor can stay on the field, and Shaw can produce when called upon.
