Andy Maddox commits to Michigan.
This young man posted that he committed to Michigan. I’ve looked at the internet for awhile and can’t find any ranking for Him. It appears he is from Kansas and is a QB. I looked a Rivals, Scout and ESPN and found nothing. There is some info on HUDL but even that site doesn’t give a ranking. Sorry I couldn’t find anything else.

Probably a pwo with mcnamara committed.

Seems likely. From the sound of it his father has done very well professionally (lawyer-turned-CEO of a bank), so he should be able to afford out of state tuition while getting a great education and playing football.
Welcome aboard!

Touch The Banner just posted on Twitter that Maddox is indeed a PWO.

Was hoping this was the son of Greg, ready to throw heat.
**And that he changed the spelling of his last name.

Um that’s Maddux.

Could be the son of former NFL quarterback Tommy Maddox. I think he played for the Steelers.

Steeler fan here (up until I pretty much stopped watching the NFL). Tommy Maddox saved us from Kordell Stewart. Maddox lives in Texas so I don't think he is this kid's dad.

Please be the son of Tommy Maddox. XFL legend!

He had a good couple of years with the Steelers. With Kordell Stewart, if the Steelers were down by 2 scores, the game was over. Maddox replaced Steward as the starting QB. Maddox had some great games and the Steelers could comeback from large deficits when Maddox was doing his gunslinger impersonation.

Welcome, Andy!!! We're glad to have you - anyone that commits to Michigan is a teammate, regardless of stars!

He's the son of Mike Maddox for KU basketball player

Not the son of Greg Maddux or the son of Tommy Maddox, but he is the son of Mike Maddox, member of the 1988 Kansas National Champion Basketball team and captain of 91-92 National Runner Up Basketball team. Kid has great DNA, character, and potential. Probably a long shot but a positive addition to your program.

Didn't really feel like it deserved a new thread, but there's some recruiting momentum that is immediate.
Steve Wiltfong and Bryce Marich crystal ball'd a 4 star linebacker in the class of 2020 named Ethan West. He's 6'4, 225, smart player out of Virginia. He can also play tight end, but I think he's better sized for linebacker at the next level.
Wiltfong also changed his crystal ball for Zach Harrison from Ohio State to Cloudy. This essentially means he doesn't have a read on where he'll go. This is a big deal, because it seems like the more we go without him committing to Ohio State, the better chance we have. And with a performance like last night, and an atmosphere last night, it's very well possible Michigan could be neck and neck with Ohio State.
Trevor Keegan had a great visit, My confidence in his decision hasn't changed, but I was told that Ohio State isn't even in the running, it's either going to be Michigan or Penn State.
We still lead for Harrison Bailey, I would expect his decision to come in the somewhat near future.

I know UM is trying to get George Karlaftis to flip from Purdue, and I didn't see him on the visitors list, but his younger brother (?) was there. Yanni Karlaftis is a class of 21 unranked OLB, & had good things to say about UM. 6'3" 205 lb. sophomore in HS & if he's anything like his brother, he will probably be strong like ox.

Karlaftis isn't flipping unless Brohm is gone.

Well, they seem to have salvaged the season a bit, so I don't think he's going anywhere. Not bad enough to get fired, not good enough to get hired away.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:09 PM ^
There was never a doubt about him being fired. If/When Louisville fires Petrino, they will go after Brohm. They will probably get him. I'd say there is a 50/50 shot he's there next year.

Very possible that this was created post commitment. Not positive though as I had to search for just "Maddox" on 247 Sports to find it.

After watching Tru Wilson and Ronnie Bell - happy to have him on board to give it his best!
October 14th, 2018 at 6:48 PM ^
Ronnie Bell was relatively unknown because of basketball & not doing any football camps, but was offered by UM before he became a hot commodity. Right after UM offered, PSU, ND, & Nebraska showed interest.
Welcome to the team Andy!

SM East lost in third round to eventual 6A champ last year. Not too shabby.

Maybe he's Sidd Finch's cousin.
