100 (Or More) Reasons We Love the Big House

Submitted by Enjoy Life on
If all you want to do is "watch" the game, probably the best spot would be sitting in front of your big screen HD TV with the DVR. I always prefer to actually be at the Big House. I'm sure I could come up with my own list of 100 reasons but it is always more interesting to see what the MGoBlog Community thinks. To make it a little more interesting, let's do this in kind of chronological order: pre-game first, followed by the game, half-time, and then post-game (but, of course, feel free to post ideas as they come to you). I'll start: #1: Tailgating with family and friends before the game. (Michigan football has definitely brought my family closer together and means I see family and friends more often than I would otherwise.) #2: Arriving in the stadium early enough to see Michigan warmups. #3: Watching the circle of Death Unity.

96: growing up poor, never seeing a game there in your youth, and not realizing how special it really was until you could buy your own ticket. if you've never been to the big house you just don't get the atmosphere of how a sporting event should be.

....we used to announce the Slippery Rock score, to great cheering when they lead. It became enough of a cult thing that I believe they brought Slippery Rock in one week when the Wolverines were on the road, or in a bye. Perhaps we should start announcing the Delaware State score, so we can cheer for them every week?
