The Blockhams in "ALL CHOKED UP"
ALL CHOKED UP

As I said last week... somewhere, I'm lookin' to start wrapping up the various storylines and daytime-television-drama stuff that Michigan's favorite partisan illustrated family has been up to. Today's strip is the first step in aligning things back to relevant happenings of that glorious thing called Michigan Football. Fall camp starts next week, and the season is about a month away. THE SEASON!!
I've already taken The Blockhams to places I've never imagined-- the laundry room, a psychiatrist's office, heaven-- but I've yet to be able to draw this thing during a game week. And I'm really looking forward to it.
On Thursday we'll talk BBQ.
Also, for those of you that aren't on Twitter, I have some good advice for you if you ever decide to join up: Draw Shane Morris doing anything, and watch the world embrace you. Srsly... this thing wasn't necessarily viral but it came darn close. Below is my FridayRough drawing five days early as I did my part for the war effort:
I'll most likely have it in color for Friday.
THE BLOCKHAMS™ runs (typically) every Tuesday here at MGoBlog,
and at least every Thursday on its official home page. Also, don't forget to
check out Friday Roughs, a spontaneous low-end comic based on trending
Michigan events, available on Twitter and Facebook every Friday.
Follow THE BLOCKHAMS™ on Twitter at @theblockhams, and don't forget to
LIKE THE BLOCKHAMS™ on Facebook at www.facebook.com/theblockhams.
We all feel your pain Tom Blockham. We all feel your pain.
I felt the same as Tom when watching Denard's keynote last week. It is going to be quite different without Denard around after this year.
I'm going to miss Denard so much. Favorite M player ever. I thought I liked Mike Hart, but that didn't even come close.
Just a special guy in so many ways. Remember thinking where’d we get this guy when he came in to backup Tate in that first game. I was so wrong.
Denard has been my UM football security blanket since 2009. No matter how dark it got at times having him around always makes me smile.
Here's to a fun and injury-free senior year for Shoelace.
Amen Tom, Amen.

Watching Denard reminds me what it was like being nine, ten years old and watching Desmond Howard.
P.S. - Honored, by the way, to see my contribution in print last week. I think that was an even better way of including Bo's most famous speech than the original suggestion.

Whoever he plays for in the NFL - and he will play in the NFL - will become my new adopted Pro team.

DRob will be so hard to replace, and its such a shame that the incoming QB in the 2013 class has such a downplayed personality and a ho-hum sense of humor.

I'm actually going to be really sad... There's something so genuine and inspiring about Denard's personality...
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about how the kid carries himself
