This game is not as close as the score shows. Auburn is out playing Oregon in all aspects of this game.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
Auburn is showing some speed and toughness on the Line. Stopping Oregon inside the 5 on 4 straight plays was impressive. Their defense is rolling right now.

To come play in the easier B10, PR if he's making a mistake because he'll never be able to recruit a team that can beat these squads in bowl games up here.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:27 PM ^
Michigan owns the SEC.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:38 PM ^
Since the SEC started owning title games. And the 4th best team just wasted us by 38 points. Times have changed from the 90's.

La la la la la. La la la la la la. La la la la.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
We beat Heisman Trophy Winner Tebow 1 year after the SEC started owning title games. It just feels like a lifetime ago.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
OSU just dominated an SEC team that was 11-1. We'll do the same, eventually. If we thought getting owned by a SEC team was a normal state of affairs, RR would still be here.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:26 AM ^
You mean the team that was Mallett Noooo from beating them? And record aside, realistically that was probably the best Big Ten team vs. The 3rd best (maybe 4th...I bet LSU would win more games in a 7 game series vs. them) team in the SEC. OSU hasn't done that well against the top of the SEC.
January 11th, 2011 at 9:28 AM ^
The Florida team that Michigan beat in 2008 was very close to knocking off Eventual-National Champion LSU; they only needed 1 stop in about 3 4th down conversions, and that would have been enough to win the SEC East and play for a bid to the National Championship. Needless to say, the Florida team that Michigan beat in the Citrus Bowl was nearly good enough to play in the National Championship, where it would have certainly been able to beat Ohio State.
So while it seems like the SEC's best is better than the Big Ten's best, it really isn't as far away as it appears (especially if the NCAA voids all of Cameron Newton's accomplishments, in which case the SEC's best lost to the Big Ten's #2 team).

Errr...
California is represented! Go Blue!
January 10th, 2011 at 11:34 PM ^
Uhh my 3rd cousin's ex wife brother's boss is at the game. I'm represented.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:42 PM ^
My friend and his wife (auburn alums) live in Michigan now, went to the game/weekend out there. Bought tickets for over $3k and stub hub offered them $10300 for the set....he sold out so is not at the game, but in Glenville. I couldn't believe it and neither could they..made over $7k on 2 tickets...
January 10th, 2011 at 11:28 PM ^
that 3rd down defense was GERGesqe
January 10th, 2011 at 11:30 PM ^
The results of that speedy, flashy, offense near the goal line seems vaguely familiar..Gimme some thunder and lightning, this small gimmicky garbage is getting upended bigtime.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:31 PM ^
I can't get over how bad Oregon's OL looks. They are just getting destroyed every down.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
Denard is really talented...
Anyone? Bueller?
January 10th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
And boy would Oregon like to have those 3 pts. right now..
January 10th, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
Can I pile on the "This field is a fuuuuuuuing travesty" meme?
January 10th, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
It's like both Auburn's lines are like Anacondas squeezing the hapless Ducks. Every Duck movement results in a more complete squeeze, draining the life out of the victim.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
Agreed, feels like Auburn is dominating, yet the Ducks are going to get a chance here. Good game
January 10th, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
Was Gerg hired at Oregon before this game? Oregon is playing pretty far off on D.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
Than the Ducks.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
Nike footwear proving to be a huge advantage
January 10th, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^
Can the Ducks complete a pass of over 5 yards?
January 10th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
Not being a candidate any more. Play calling has sucked big time. Coming up small in a bowl game again. Fluky play is the only shot Oregon has.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
Maybe...but 15 taken off of it.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
playcalling has been horrible. Not sure why people are criticizing Oregon's D, they have held a team that averages 40+ points to 19 points. They are not the reason Oregon is losing.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
Fumble!!
January 10th, 2011 at 11:51 PM ^
Wow, huge play, very sloppy game thus far, but entertaining.

He throws balls like that.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
that was clutch, keeping composed after james called the TO. most coaches would've freaked and rattled the kid.
January 10th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
Now about that 2 pt conversion...
EDIT: Got it... wow!
January 10th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
holy sh*t tie game!!!!
January 10th, 2011 at 11:59 PM ^
we go. Only problem is they left Auburn time to go down for the winning score.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
Oregon's boneheaded decision earlier is looming large..
January 11th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
That guy's got spunk.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:03 AM ^
I hate Musberger so much.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:03 AM ^
Wrist could be down, knees aren't.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
ballgame. Auburn is already in field goal range.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:05 AM ^
this game has been so strange. wouldn't bet against a missed field goal
January 11th, 2011 at 12:05 AM ^
Oh how I hate any school with a reliable kicker!
January 11th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
although it doesn't look like they will even need him...
January 11th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
Fuck.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
James passed Denard for total rushing yards this season, but it looks like Newton won't join the 1500/2500 club, mush less the 1700/2500 club that Denard populates all by his lonesome.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
Down at the one-foot line?
