RIP to one of the best owners in pro sports. Will the franchise stay in the Davidson family?

one of the best their ever will be. Still love when he talked at the parade about the Lakers, Classic!!!
The word "bullshit" seems to mean so much more when it comes out of the mouth of an 80-something multi-millionaire owner of a sports franchise.

It would be awesome if the Illitch family bought them.
at first I was going to say that's only a 50-50 proposition then I came to my senses. The Ilitch's are great owners (in terms of team success) in the NHL because he chose good hockey people to run that organization. I think the problem comes in baseball were its really his true love and puts his paws on some decisions which he is not really qualified to make.
RIP Bill. You were a great owner. Good to your people successful and an up and up guy by all accounts.
...she is the whore who always waits, yet never is welcomed.
This hits me harder than it should. Davidson was a Detroit icon, and this city's icons are dying at too fast a rate. God damn it...
God damn it.

Bill Davidson was an alumnus and great friend of the University of Michigan, donating many millions of dollars to the University and the business school in particular. Thanks, Bill. We'll miss you.
