is the Hematites. Has to be one of the worst nicknames of all time. However, I am sure they will represent the UP well.

It's nothing against Hudson, but I want to see a UP team win a championship. They started out pretty good until the second-quarter turnover.

Go Ishpeming! Represent the U.P.!

but I went yesterday anyway. I watched Farmington Hills Harrison beat Lowell in a game that was good for three quarters, and then I watched Ithaca beat Monroe St Mary in a game that was GREAT to the end. (Ithaca's colors are glorious blue and yellow, but their fight song is that of MSU. It hurt my brain a little bit.)
If you've never been to Ford Field to watch the high school football finals, I recommend it. It's relatively cheap for a full day of football (four games for $10!), and it's a lot of fun. You want to go to there.

Live streams. Not that anyone is going to need these in 20 minutes :)

I was at the GRCC-Williamston game. WOW what a finish. CC was down 23-13 with 9 mins left, scored a TD with 3 mins left, held Williamston to a 3 and out, then finally scored the go ahead TD with a minute left, and then held on the win 27-23. What a win.

to see a high school team, EGR, winning their 5th straight state championships and their 8th in the last 10 years. That's an amazing run especially when you consider that it's high school. OLSM had more talent IMO. James Ross is a stud, but it's hard for any individual defensive player to make the defense rock solid when EGR offense were moving the ball on them in every which way possible.

EGR has really strong coaching. They should play up a year for a challenge, D2 perhaps.

EGR is a very well coached team and you don't see them making a lot of stupid mistakes. They can probably play up to D2 or even D1. Although D3 has been competitive for EGR, but they are capable of winning D2.
