I won't believe it till he signs.
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:24 PM ^
I feel the same about recruits simply commiting. I prefer to wait till signing day cause more and more recruits seem to be switching more often then I can remember.
November 23rd, 2010 at 1:25 AM ^
Just sayin
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
Who the heck needs a freaking defense? This'll be, literally, a score on EVERY POSESSION offense. If the defense can get ONE stop per game, that's it. That's all we need.
November 23rd, 2010 at 12:47 AM ^
Don't forget about the likes of Marvin Robinson and Josh Furman who will be seeing time on D soon enough :)
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
Wow, this does lessen the Sammy lost. Turning out to be a good Monday if true. We want Justice now.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:07 PM ^
its true
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
Sorry Irish, I know it's been a tough month.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:11 PM ^
the ND coaches cooled on him and told him to look elsewhere. nothing to apologize for.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
So it will be that much sweeter when he's knifing through ND defenses? Awesome.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
Evidence of that anywhere?
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
It's the Domers and they're so flush with talent they could easily afford to cool on one of the top 5 running backs in the nation. Also it's a national travesty they're getting screwed out of a BCS Bowl this year.
November 23rd, 2010 at 12:22 AM ^
Reply was supposed to be to guy above you saying they were flush with talent, I think the board hamster screwed with me.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:23 PM ^
rivals, scout, i mean the ND staff essentially ignored him last week. one can read the writing on the wall... fwiw, coach martin has been very upfront with justice the entire recruiting process.
anyways, dee hart is a guy for opposing defense to fear, not justice hayes.
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
not really sure why i am getting "negged" or whatever yall call it. i wish justice no ill-will, but BK did in fact cool on him. oh well, good luck to justice.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
in a comment on the MGoBoard, no less, and should probably be taken with a grain of salt:
that he said he didn't "feel the love" from the ND coaches, and Kelly decided to get defensive like a 12 year old instead of reassuring him.
Brian Kelly = TYIS... "No, YOU'RE gay Timmy! I'm tellingggg"
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:11 PM ^
the ND coaches cooled on him and told him to look elsewhere. nothing to apologize for.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:14 PM ^
Are you guys going to go after Savon Huggins then?
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:17 PM ^
ND has been recruiting huggins since they offered in the spring,
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:32 PM ^
Would you rather have Hayes or Huggins? They look like different types of players. On Hayes' rivals profile it says that he has the same body as Theo Riddick.
I did a rivals search and Hayes and Huggins are the uncommitted prospects with offers. I guess now it is only Huggins.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:53 PM ^
a RB is a big luxury for ND on offense, and probably the entire team. He was going to be moved around, if we needed a RB he would be a RB if we needed a slot he would be a slot. Huggins is a better RB, and I like davaris daniels a ton more in the slot.
Hayes catches better out of the back field and would probably be the better all around guy in kelly's offense vs huggins but neither are must gets in this class. With Hayes leaving it will be a lot easier to add golson to the class as well.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:57 PM ^
He's always trying for the positive, and we love him to death for it, but man, this one reads like this...
"When life gives you shit, you make shit-ade."
I don't think there's a positive way to spin losing the #3 all purpose back and #84 player in the country.
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:10 PM ^
There are 6 RBs on ND's roster right now, 2 will graduate, the current starter is a sophomore. Kelly's offense doesn't put out 1000 yard rushers, of the 4 decommits hayes is the by far the least impactful.
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
So most people are expecting Golson's soft verbal to switch to a solid for Notre Dame.
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:11 PM ^
ND is in a good position after his official for the utah game, I don't really think he is committed to anyone at this point
November 23rd, 2010 at 1:03 AM ^
On rivals it says that Golson is softly committed to UNC.
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:33 PM ^
What I think Irish was saying, is he's not
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:19 PM ^
eh don't know about all that, sounds like it was closer to a mutual departure than ND showing him the door
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
yeah after he took so much time to think over his decision you should definitely think his recruitment is over.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:45 PM ^
I'm not sure I would look at it that way. Just because he committed somewhere else quickly doesn't necessarily mean it was a spur of the moment decision. He could have been silently reconsidering for a long time with the most recent events pushing him over the edge. Who knows, really.
November 23rd, 2010 at 2:39 AM ^
Or a tough 15 years..
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:14 PM ^
+1 because I feel for ND's pain.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:07 PM ^
Oh far out man..far fucking out
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:07 PM ^
Awesome. Versatile, talented guy and in-stater. Plenty of offense to go around to everyone.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:07 PM ^
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:07 PM ^
Not too often that this blog's taken off guard by a commitment any more. Even with him decommitting from ND, didn't expect him to go blue that fast. No complaints though.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:46 PM ^
Yeah, no doubt. I was genuinely shocked when I logged in for the first time tonight and saw Brian's post. Awesome news!
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:08 PM ^
"Imma wolverine baby! Go Blue!" just posted it minutes ago
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Tim didn't have a hello post for Hayes.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
Has he taken an official visit yet?
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
Sooooo weird... but true!!!
Maybe (hopefully) we can still get Rawls?
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
really afford to take 3 RBs in this class??? Maybe if it were Rawls and Hayes already committed and Dee were the third...If Rawls is the bigger type back, we have Hopkins only 1 class ahead of him. Please Please Please get some elite D!!
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:30 PM ^
You can never have too many fast athletes on your team. They can help us in multiple positions.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
Did not see that coming.
'Tis the season.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:11 PM ^
... now we just need the state's number three prospect, and we are starting to make some serious recruiting progress.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:11 PM ^
Fred Jackson using the snake oil.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
He plays defense too right?!
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:18 PM ^
We get that you want defensive recruits. Just trust that the coaches know what they are doing.
