Who the heck needs a freaking defense? This'll be, literally, a score on EVERY POSESSION offense. If the defense can get ONE stop per game, that's it. That's all we need.

Would you rather have Hayes or Huggins?  They look like different types of players.  On Hayes' rivals profile it says that he has the same body as Theo Riddick.

I did a rivals search and Hayes and Huggins are the uncommitted prospects with offers.  I guess now it is only Huggins.

a RB is a big luxury for ND on offense, and probably the entire team.  He was going to be moved around, if we needed a RB he would be a RB if we needed a slot he would be a slot.  Huggins is a better RB, and I like davaris daniels a ton more in the slot.

Hayes catches better out of the back field and would probably be the better all around guy in kelly's offense vs huggins but neither are must gets in this class.  With Hayes leaving it will be a lot easier to add golson to the class as well.

There are 6 RBs on ND's roster right now, 2 will graduate, the current starter is a sophomore. Kelly's offense doesn't put out 1000 yard rushers, of the 4 decommits hayes is the by far the least impactful.

I'm not sure I would look at it that way.  Just because he committed somewhere else quickly doesn't necessarily mean it was a spur of the moment decision.  He could have been silently reconsidering for a long time with the most recent events pushing him over the edge.  Who knows, really.

Not too often that this blog's taken off guard by a commitment any more. Even with him decommitting from ND, didn't expect him to go blue that fast. No complaints though.
