That was a pretty powerful interview and an awesome shirt. Hats off to the Mealer family and the way Michigan's staff has worked with them in recovering from a horrible tragedy.

I asked the same thing in the "I saw a man walk yesterday..." diary and received this response from sdafoe19:
"I spoke with Brock's 5th grade teacher before the game and askedabout the shirts. She said family and friends from his hometown made the shirts. That being said I think they were just a one time thing. Could be a great fund raiser for research into spinal injuries or something like that.
For what it is worth Brock also often wears the Adidas "Impossible is Nothing" shirt while working out.
What an amazing event. So proud to be a Michigan Wolverine.
Go Brock...Glory to God!"

The T-shirt/slogan leaves a lot to be desired. I see a lot of 1% tatoos in my line of work. The 1%ers are a very violent, very racist motorcycle gang.

Maybe this 1% means something very different and very inspirational. A phrase can have different meanings.

Just dont wear the T-shirt in the city if you want to live.

I assume you are referring to the rough and tumble streets of Norton Shores.

I don't think many of us here have the credentials to wear that shirt. I am glad to hear that it is most probably a limited edition.

I doubt most of us have the credentials to wear those shirts but wearing them in the spirit of supporting rehabilitation research would be viable. If they were for sale, I'd buy two.

With the money going for a good cause, I suppose you are right.

BUT, I'd love to see that framed in Shembechler or something. Historical, Brock.

I don't care about "credentials" to wear a t-shirt. I'd love to buy a bunch of them and wear one in support of the entire Mealer family, if not rehabilitation research. It's an awesome shirt and incredibly motivating.

Yes!!!
I found a web site that is selling the "Glory to God. 1%" T-Shirt that Brock Mealer wore on Saturday.
Here it is:

I personally don't see anything wrong with wearing the shirt.
It shows support for Brock and his family.
To me, the 1% means that miracles do happen!
And that's a great thing.

I wonder if they are just cashing in on this. Would like to know if it was available BEFORE the game. I'd have no problem buying on (or more) for a charity, but not to benefit the same guys that sell teeshirts at concert parking lots.
