Steve Breaston 2.0: Less Punt Returns, More Dreads

Though I feel he was underutilized at Michigan (leading to him being drafted so late) Breston has worked hard and is now getting the opportunity to start. Good luck to him I hope he gets paid what he deserves.

In professional sports does anyone truly get paid what they deserve?

No, they get paid much, much more.

No doubt about it, Breaston is a badass. I always insisted he was better than Ginn, the NFL has proved me right.

And to think the Dolphins drafted Ginn four rounds ahead of Breaston! If that doesn't tell you why that whole regime got canned, nothing would.

"It looks good on him," Fitzgerald said. "He looks distinguished. We're not going to let him cut it."
Dreadlocks. The official gentleman's mustache of the NFL.

Why... its like lookin' in mirrah.

Just imagine how great he would have been if he was playing in our offense today.
that Breaston would play QB in this offense, which would be the best thing ever besides no magic punt returns.

I got the chance to see Steve play in the season opener for the Cardinals in San Francisco in 2008. Even 23 mos ago, you could tell that he was creeping up the depth chart. His route running was good and his cuts were made well. It was a pleasure to see him in person. Always polite while making a play, i was proud as a Michigan fan to see him. I also hope that he is rewarded for all his hard work and effort.

so watching the highlight videos of steve breaston and dee hart... does anyone else think that dee hart could possibly return punts like steve breaston? because, frankly, another breaston returning punts would be... awesome.
Headline should be "Fewer Punt Returns..."
(Use "fewer" for countable things and "less" for uncountable things.)
By countable do you mean units of measurement? For example "fewer seconds" sounds correct but "fewer time" does not, I would use "less time." Also is there a rule for an increase in value? Where I grew up grammar was lacking, so I am always trying to improve. Thanks.

You nailed the concept in your "fewer seconds" and "less time" example. For fewer to be the correct word, you have to have countable units of measure. One example where the wrong word is often used is in grocery store express checkout lanes where the signs often read "10 items or less." They should actually say "10 items or fewer."

...missed it. Here's my post about the Steve Breaston - David Merritt collaboration for Merritt's IMU line.
