...outside this past year at UF, he actually has a pretty good track record. Also, we kinda sorta need a WR coach who knows what he's doing. And it doesn't hurt to have someone who has recruited top talent in Florida and Georgia on the staff.
So to me this is a pretty good hire.

Agree. As a WR coach, McElwain is an amazing hire. As the sole OC, solid hire (google his success at Bama, it's amazing). If he's sharing duties with anyone, it will be a disaster.
