Thank God. Can't leave Simpson in in these situations going forward. Still find it befuddling that we choose MAAR over Poole in the home stretch though. He missed layup after layup. Really glad he redeemed himself with the 3 and obviously the FTs. Hell of a pass by Livers.

Definitely should be running away. He looked so confident when was asking for the ball and after he got the ball he held it instead of giving it up quickly. I have no idea why he was so confident.

that will find itself totally reversed in one of the next two games...

...wasn't it two games ago that a bunch of posters were saying Wagner can't play?

Never say...

Absolutes, man, absolutes. God bless them absolutes

that Mo can only dream about getting, but a great second half by Michigan. Mo's 4th foul on Huerter near end of game looked like a legit block out to me.  Was a big call.  Maryland hit big shots at the end so really credit Michigan for prevailing.

Any Big Ten win, no matter what Vegas says, is MaaRvelous. And Maaryland is always dangerous. I'll take it, happily. I don't know how you suddenly improve on free throws - it's not like it's a board game out there. But maybe no more Z in those situations?

Going forward with the lead late, we need Robinson, Maar, Wagner getting the ball out of bounds so we dont have to sweat free throws from Matthews and Z

Playing 2 days after beating your big rival came out a little flat that’s understandable but played tough and won! But looking at all the awful posts was terribly shocking, you guys are not true Blue fans your quitters!

You'll get used to -- strike that.

Hopefully you never get used to the naysayers, and those who trash the team or feel entitled to perfection from kids who, at the end of the day, are students... b/c it's refreshing (& important) to hear from true blue fans w/ a little more faith...

I upvoted you, but for the future, a tip: the boards usually favor correct grammar...

you're welcome! ;o

I know it has to be tough for Beilein to sit a kid who was instrumental in our win today. But he has to explain to Z it’s nothing personal and he has to improve in order to be out there in those situations.

Good teams find ways to win even when they play poorly. Ugly game, but a win is a win. Somewhat expected after a huge, emotional win against MSU, but the committee will only remember the win. Especially if Maryland improves.

That being said, if free throw shooting doesn’t improve from everyone not named MAAR, it will cost us a game at some point. It should’ve cost us today, and you can bet the house that every team left on our schedule is taking notice of Simpson’s FT shooting woes. If the game comes down to free throws, they will be looking to foul Simpson and only Simpson.
