Outback Bowl: What do you hope to see?

Submitted by mgoDAB on
In anticipation of the Outback Bowl in a few days, what are you looking forward to most or hope to see? A win, of course, would be great to see, putting us at 9-4 and giving us some confidence heading into the offseason. Some ideas: -Seeing Winovich, Hurst, Bush, and Don Brown having orange hair in support of ChadTough. -Brandon Peters getting the start. An impressive performance will set up what will be the most intense QB battle in recent memory. -Seniors going out with a bang. Hope to see lots of Panda time and belly rubs. For me, it would be Karan Higdon getting 71 rushing yards to be the first Michigan player since Denard in 2012 to reach 1,000 rushing yards in a season, and the first running back since Fitz Toussaint in 2011.

which would take us back to the USC '03 W.C. offense, where the receivers were open and the QB found them in less than 2.5 seconds and hit them repeatedly. It was so effective, Pierre got one sack the entire night. That's what I'd like to see because the D is already at the level I'd like to see them. I think we're close to doing that. Successful reps equal confidence and there's a way, normally using the TE on a "waggle" - called qb bootleg prior to them changing it for UM- for some reason. We see that and the world will be beautiful again.

I'd like to see warmer weather in both Michigan and Florida. I'd like to see the Outback Bowl forecast change, it's supposed to be 50 degrees rainy n windy. Of course, since I made the trip, I want the good guys to win. I'd love to see a Michigan Defender make a clean devastating hit, to erase Clowney hit from my mind. I'd like to see "Peters Go Off on the Cocks!"

I'd love to see him go off in this game for 150+ yds and set the tone as the #1 guy for next year.   If he is going that means running game is working with play action and great O-line protection to boot.

I would like to see us dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. I'm reasonably confident the D will do this, can the O up their game to do the same? If this happens, everything else should fall into place nicely for a solid Michigan win to end the season.

Peters hits multiple receivers in stride.  Receivers rarely if ever have to slow down for the catch unless they are super wide open (blown coverage.)

For Michigan - No injuries, 0 penalties, 0 turnovers.

OK, no injuries for the Gamecocks and no penetration either.

A solid win and a breakout performance from Peters. (which would also mean solid O Line play). A great Peters' performance and victory will set the tone for the offseason.
