ChadTough / Winovich

ChadTough / Winovich

I just thought I'd post the fundraising site that Winovich started.  The goal was changed to $250,000 recently.

Seems like a good thing to do today:

How did this start?

“I came up with the idea a couple months ago, actually,” said Winovich. “I was thinking, 'How could I help a charity? What unique talents do I have that could bring people together?' The one thing I really had that a lot of people don't have is the long hair. It's very noticeable, it's very divisive - people love it and there's some people that don't like it. It's a hot topic.”

Impacted by Chad Carr’s fight with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in 2015, Winovich made the decision to partner with ChadTough to raise money for research.

“The legacy that the Carr family has with Michigan and their mission with ChadTough really resonated with me,” said Winovich. “It was just so heartfelt to see this young kid and the struggles he went through. It really pulled on my heartstrings. From day one, it inspired me to be a better football player and a better person.

“I always knew if there was any chance I had to give back and help out with that, I would do it."

Outback Bowl: What do you hope to see?

Outback Bowl: What do you hope to see?

In anticipation of the Outback Bowl in a few days, what are you looking forward to most or hope to see? A win, of course, would be great to see, putting us at 9-4 and giving us some confidence heading into the offseason. Some ideas: -Seeing Winovich, Hurst, Bush, and Don Brown having orange hair in support of ChadTough. -Brandon Peters getting the start. An impressive performance will set up what will be the most intense QB battle in recent memory. -Seniors going out with a bang. Hope to see lots of Panda time and belly rubs. For me, it would be Karan Higdon getting 71 rushing yards to be the first Michigan player since Denard in 2012 to reach 1,000 rushing yards in a season, and the first running back since Fitz Toussaint in 2011.

Current vote %:

1) Matt Painter 19%

2) John Beilein 15%

St. Bonaventure lost in OT.

We are on CBS today, not sure we have won a game they telecast, though last one at MD was close.

I will go out on a limb, and say that Walton gets at least one bucket today.
