Just curious... you follow every UM related accounts on social media? If so, respect! I don't hate the hussle.

I've played the Baird Carillon (as well as the North Campus bells). It's pretty awesome to see the bells up close, and to have the power to make noise across campus with just your hands and fingers. Students, if you have some piano or other musical training, take the class; it's so interesting and so much fun to play.

Well at least he got the name of the freaking song right, WD. It's "The Victors". Just because the tweet included the "Hail to the" part doesn't mean you need to.

The University of Michigan and Indiana University are the only two campuses in the US with two bell towers.
That my friends, is a Snapple Fact.

The carilloneurs play it pretty frequently, especially in the fall. I used to hear it regularly when walking to class.

Yep, it's pretty common. They also hold weekly carillon concerts during certain times of the year, which I found out when I had a class in the MLB in a classroom directly adjoining the tower. Couldn't hear anything over the bells.

The Baird Carillon (the 4th heaviest in the world) is playing The Victors.
Aw man, now you've ruined it for me. All this time I was convinced it was top 3.

What if we had Michael Onwenu playing the carillon? Would that push us over the top?

Loud let the bells then ring!

At quarter after: Hail to the victors valiant
At half past: Hail to the conquering heroes
At quarter of: Hail Hail to Michigan
At the hour: The champions of the West

Are you telling me the lyric is "conquering heros"?
I've been holding my hands over my kids ears for 12 years!
