SI latest mock draft has DJ to Lakers with 28th pick

Don't shoot the messenger - I still think he and Moe need one more year.  Should be an interesting week.  Have to fish or cut bait by May 24

This is actually a VERY strong draft

Dj WIlson is 6'10 with a 7'3 wingspan. He has good handles for his size and shoots the 3 well.

Mo Wagner is 6'10 and can shoot very well. He's what teams want now a days with a big man.

NBA draft prospects dont have to put up monster numbers to be picked in the draft. They just have to have good skill sets and size

From a purely objective standpoint I totally agree with you. If DJ comes back and averages 15/10/2 or something like that, he'll get picked wayyy higher. But there's other factors in play. He could get hurt, he's had 2 really serious injuries before (his back in HS and something in his leg his freshman year, can't remember), so that definitely plays into his decision. Also, he's 21. You know who else is 21? Karl Anthony-Towns. Age matters to NBA teams because athletic peaks are so short, and a 21 year old rookie isn't exactly a home run in the age category.

So I agree, another year of development is probably better for him, but if I was DJ and I'm looking at $4 mil in guaranteed money or another year of college and the possibility of no money, I go to the NBA.

I mean if DJ says he will only leave if he is guaranteed a 1st round pick then this defintely isnt a guarantee. If all he's being projected as is 28+ then thats extremely risky to stay in the draft. You see it in every draft where a players projected to go at a certain pick but then a different better prospect falls and the team takes them instead and then the player like DJ just keeps falling and falling.
