Gerry Dinardo/Tim Drevno Feature Interview on BTN
Tim Drevno was interviewed on BTN a week ago. The interview has not made it's way to the mgoboard, but a previously posted interview featuring Don Brown had been well received.
In his interivew with Gerry DiNardo, Drevno covers his anticipation for the Italy trip, the pros of running a pro/traditional offense, and the rationale behind a tailback by committee approach.
As one can expect, Drevno was more opaque than Brown in his comments, but his responses probably confirm what is already expected: that we will see lots of Evans/Higdon and DPJ.

Which is why I think Walker is going to have to make his mark as a KR.
IMO, he'll be the 4th guy (and a VERY good 4th guy), but there are only so many carrier to go around. He'll get a few in non-blowout time...but he's going to have to show something as a KR.
We know Evans and Higdon are the leaders, if Isaac is the best in pass pro...he's going to play.
Put the redshirts on the youngn's, let these guys carry the load this year.
I just don't get the perpetual Isaac hype. The guy hasn't been able to do better than "competing to be #3". Almost all of his good runs came through truck sized holes and/or against soft competition, and he can't run through tall grass despite his size. There has also been talk of him not having the best attitude at times... Seems like he's "turned that around" at least twice now. I suspect he'll be competing with Walker to be #3 again this year.
I'm not making shit up... IIRC I got that impression based on his own words, comments from coaching staff, comments from Sam Webb and comments from a reliable insider about Wheatley not being his biggest fan.
Following that link and just realised that there is a ton of GREAT video from Italy out there on this trip..much of it from BTN. And as I watched many of them I just felt that this italy trip was so big that its almost too big to put into context. The message boards haven't really kept up IMO. Its the kind of thing that could take a decade or more to fully appreciate.
Just the fact that each of those young men were apart of the FIRST D1 football program to do anything remotely close to this..as Harbaugh said they are 'pioneers'. No one thinks like this..no one outside of AA and that all comes down to Coach. He is as out of the box as you can get and that is going to pay dividends to the program and those that come through it for generations to come.
All I have seen and read for the the last week are Rome stories. But MARTY SMITH!!!
I glad they brought in Frey this year.
Fair or unfair to Drevno and probably due to circumstances beyond his control, the Offensive line wasn't turning around as fast as the rest of the team.
Really like Drevno - his comments about the running backs and DPJ were awesome. Very excited about this year!
