Letter from Harbaugh to Event Team
My parents travel 2.5 hours for the honor to work for the University of Michigan as part of the Event Team. They attended the basketball game and, along with many other perks, received this letter from our coach. I thought I would share it here.
Way to go Mom and Pops!

People maybe out to get Jim due to the fact they dont like him. The guy is a class act. I seem to get the feeling everyone is jealous of him. The man is just being himself and wont take shit from anyone. Just because he goes about this differently and is passionate about the game.

You are nobody until somebody hates you. He's got that covered.

Classy gesture from a true leader, recognizing efforts of the people doing the work. Every game this year I have had the same thoughts regarding the Event Team and the job they do with 110,000 people.

That's cool.
What kind of head rush must it be to know that every letter you send out is going to wind up framed on a wall somewhere?
That's the tippy top of the food chain.

Such a simple gesture but so emblematic of being a true leader. One thing I have learned over my professional career is that, "if you take care of the little things, the big things take care of themselves." In this case, a quick note to all the events staff, a little thing in all honesty, leads to morale, a huge thing, being better, throughout the organization.

Good handwriting. You can actually read his signature. Must have done well at St. Francis of Assisi.

Only one thing disappointed me in all of this.
The letterhead is fantastic in its simplicity. The letter to a group of very deserving people is genuine and thoughtful. Taking the time to sign it himself is special. Even the pin is cool.
But in the last sentence, he omitted the Oxford comma. There's no miscue, so no error, but I'm a little bummed Coach isn't an Oxford-comma man.
In all seriousness, what a wonderful thing for Coach to do. Go Blue!
