March Madness Open Thread
I'll start with my own predictions:
Kansas over N Iowa
Tennessee over Ohio
Murray St over Butler
Kansas St over BYU
Kentucky over Wake
NMU over Washington
Baylor over Old Dominion
St Marys over Nova
Who's been the most impressive team so far? After seeing all the teams play once, what picks would you change now?
I wouldn't mind Kansas losing, that way I wouldn't have any teams left in my final 2.
Haha I wasn't watching the Kansas game, now I am. And I hope Northern Iowa wins, so we can fit in a weird Final Four.
Anybody watching New Mexico/Washington? I don't have the bandwidth to spare at the moment. Looks close.
I am watching it right now.
Kansas is in the process of completely killing my bracket.
I'm not watching (Baylor vs Old Dominion is on here and worth watching) but I've heard Kansas's strategy is to just run the ball at someone and let the ref's call a foul, which they are doing every time.
Kansas might actually blow this game.
...it's N. Iowa's to blow...
...or not to blow...
...that is the question....
If Kansas loses and the bracket parts like the red fucking sea for MSU?
I'm more concerned about the implications for OSU. No Georgetown or Kansas.
And there will be much beer and pussy flowing in Cedar Falls tonight...
For me it is one of the worst feelings in sports when your high seeded team gets knocked off early in the tourney. I was absolutely sick when Villinova knocked off Michigan in 1985. #2 in the country Michigan.
In fact the loss to Villinova was so tough for me, to this day, when I see a basketball game with a 59-55 score, it brings back painful memories.
Wow, just wow. I knew Northern Iowa was good, but not beat a number 1 seed good. That three to put them up 4 was just ice, ice in the veins.
It was as if a million brackets cried out, and were suddenly silenced
Enough to destroy a whole Tournament.
Yes. I now believe in that hokey old religion.

"This will be a day long remembered." Meanwhile KU has "paid the price for their lack of vision."
Note to self, never do extreme close ups with K-State cheerleaders... unless they've got bags over their heads. Go BYU!

Lifelong Michigan fan but I go to Old Dominion, pretty big disappointment but have to give it up to Udoh, shot blocking machine. Watched the game outside with about 50 other students on a big screen tv, grilled out, drank beer, and even had a moon-bounce. Probably a good thing we didnt win because a riot might have ensued. Gotta love March Madness.
