how would you like OSU/CoFoPo previewed?

Now's around the time that people look ahead to challenging games. We've beaten every team by plenty (their worst loss) and we don't assume a loss (see the graphs in the diaries). So we look forward to the ultimate goal: Championship. Lets assume we go undefeated and #2. I assume we play Clemson, then Bama. And I'm willing to watch a few games and do some UFRS. I will not be as good as the experts; I want to make sure I've got the right teams. Crowdsourcing seems smart among educated fans. Whom do you suggest be scouted? OSU can be an obvious suggestion. Two games/team is likely the max -- do you think LSU vs. bama is a better scouting match, or Ole Miss? I doubt ill be as good as the guys who run the blog--i won't. But i think itd be good content for the reader, and better than reviewing MFC for me. What have you?

Fuckin' a man, go for it. I'd read them. I like your enthusiasm. So what if they aren't as good as Brian's or ProFootballFocus' (and honestly I wonder about PFF at times, anyway). If you're passionate about it/football like you seem to be, and you have the time, do it! Clemson-Florida St., Bama-LSU/Auburn are the one's I'd be most interested in at this point, although Bama-Florida in the SEC Championship game might more resemble what we would look like....although maybe LSU has turned it around on offense a little bit, I'm not sure.

And while you're at it, keep an eye on Washington.  I hate to curse them as when they played Stanford early-ish on, I picked Stanford by 10 as I was impressed by them early on; well that was stupid of me.  Anyway, it's hard to judge them out there as their competition is quite a bit different week in and week out versus what they'll face in a hypothetical playoff matchup but nonetheless...that team is looking excellent.

Man, people on here can drive me nuts! Why do so many people think fans can't look ahead? We aren't on the team, so who the hell cares what we speculate on? I say do it! Don't listen to these hive mind obeying dweebs. I would suggest Bama-LSU, Wis-Neb, and Clem-FSU. Making the playoff is a real possibility, so looking at potential opponents seems pretty worthwhile to me.

Whether we look ahead or not has exactly zero bearing on the team's performance.

The only thing is can do is make us feel dumb in the unlikely event of a loss to MSU. And yeah, I'd feel pretty dumb if that happened, but my blase attitude toward a bad Spartan team right now will have no effect on our team's chances this Saturday.

I have nothing to contribute other than this question: how the fuck do they have a chip on their shoulders???? After all these last couple of years, and last year especially. That chip on shoulder shit ain't gonna work. Can't hide from this beat down... It's h4ppening

If you are interested in doing analysis on future opponents, just do it and post it. You don't need to ask anyone's permission. People are usually fairly appreciative of anything that reflects originality and genuine effort, even if it's not perfect. I will say, though, be prepared to take a couple days off of work and put on a pot of strong coffee if you are going to attempt a UFR. That'd be like the 8,000-piece jigsaw puzzle of user content.
