Nebraska reported to want back into Big XII

Let's do a voracity check...
A radio host, who is connected to BYU (a school with an interest in making the Big 12 seem awesome), says that "Nebraska" (presumably an unspecified person at that school, unless the state speaks as a whole) wants to leave the best conference TV contract in the country (at a time when literally every other school is scrambling to get the best contract possible), because they feel like they can make more money joining up with BYU, Houston, and Cincinnati.
I give it five FAKEs out of five.

Apparently this is an unpopular opinion, but I've always felt that Nebraska was a good fit. They just feel like a Big Ten school. Maryland and Rutgers do not.

I'm with you there too. I like having Nebraska in the B1G.
Rutgers and Maryland can go.
Oh, yeah Fuck Penn State too.

Not buying this article at all. Nebraska left the Big 12 because of Texas.
In the B1G they get equal revenue sharing -- something not in the Big 12
In the B1G they get associated with AAU schools even though Nebraska doesn't have AAU membership anymore.
That article is part trolling and part click-bait

Maybe they feel they can recruit better, being in the big 12, only having to get kids that play offense.

I don't think they add anything to our conference. Their best sport is football and they are good but nothing special. Academically they add nothing to the conference. Go back to the Big 12 and play second fiddle to Texas who runs that conference and make less money they you do in the B1G

I call BS. It makes absolutely zero sense for Nebraska to leave behind a guaranteed pile of money and the stability of the Big Ten for a league that may be defunct in five years. The main reason Nebraska (and the three other ex-members) left to begin with is that the league's revenue model, scheduling, division alignment, and pretty much every other aspect of the way the Big XII is run is skewed heavily in favor of Texas. And that will continue to be the case as long as the Longhorns are involved in any discussions about the conference's future. So why would they go back?
The hard evidence is in the numbers: when Nebraska joined the B1G in 2011, it agreed to wait six years to begin receiving an equal share of conference revenues and to become an equal partner in the Big Ten Network. That six years is up next year, when Nebraska finally gets to share equally in revenues that are expected to exceed $500 million. Why would Nebraska walk away from such a massive payoff after having waited over half a decade and veer onto an uncertain path with no guarantee of stability or prosperity?
All of the Nebraska fans I've talked to are perfectly content in the B1G and want nothing to do with the Big XII.
