Hart's Leaders Changed?

Submitted by UM-Bear on
Rivals has Auburn and Florida as Demetrius Hart's new leaders and that a decision should be coming soon. Is this accurate? For quite some time, he seemed to be a Michigan lock. Anyone in the know feel free to verify or disprove these rumors.

some kid says, absolutely, positively he is going to UM ... and to boot will commit soon. Can't trust a kid. Gotta wait to signing day 2011. Its March 2010 and much can change. That being said, sounds like he is getting feed bad info. Go Wings. Go Blue.

I love Hart, and want him to come to Michigan. However, if there were some way to bring in another Tyrone Wheatley type back I would take him over any back in the country. IMO Michigan needs a big and fast RB for the Big 10.

is built like Minor and runs like the wind. In him we have a big back that is fast. What we need is for him to get healthy and live up to the expectations people had for him. I really hope he does because I have been excited about him playing for UM since he signed. This is the perfect opportunity for him to step up and take the starting role.

For Tom or anybody in the know that has a good gauge. 1-10, 10 being we get him, what would you say is your guess as of this moment? Are we really that up against it with him? Thanks.

I just think Michigan needs to be much more physical at RB, and the LOS. I do not want scat backs that are limited in what they're able to accomplish because of a lack of size, strength, speed, or what have you. Mike Hart's success in the Big 10 runs contrary to this argument, but he had an entirely different supporting cast and offense. We saw the difference between Minor and anyone else out of our backfield. I'd just like to see us be more physical.

It would kind of bum me out to not get Hart just because I think he is a good kid and looked to be a lock at one point. The more I look at this Justice Hayes kid he impresses me, and wouldn't mind getting him if Hart has a change of Heart....

I'll pass this along: Rivals has an article up (http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1060509) entitled "Michigan has work to do with Hart". Things aren't great. He lists a top 3 of Florida, Auburn and Bama and basically says that he knows who the coach is going to be at those schools, and he can't confidently say the same about Michigan at this point. He plans to enroll early, which means an earlier decision, but he still plans to take all 5 official visits. One of those most likely to UM since it appears he's NOT coming to the Spring Game anymore, as was originally thought. Succeed on the field and a lot of these problems disappear. Problem is, you have to wait a while in order to prove to recruits that you will succeed, talk simply isn't going to work anymore with all the negative publicity out there.
