Wilton Speight appreciation thread
What a journey. Congrats to Wilton. This is the Harbaugh effect.
What a journey. From that to starter.

Appreciate him now, but as soon as Speight makes his first bad throw or misses an open Chesson deep...you people will be all over him, like you were with Jake last year.

Don't forget, Speight is chronologically, in the same class as Shane Morris, despite being listed as one class younger than Shane Morris's class.
I can't remember if he started school late, or did a 5th year of high school (at a sports-prep HS). I seem to remember classes in a baseball field or something.
Either way, age and maturity always help, particularly at quarterback.

All I have to say is that O'Korn is going to see snaps. I just cant find myself believing that all this hype in the past year with Johnny is nothing. It won't be snaps at the end of games either. O'Korn is a stud. Good attitude and ability. I have a ton of faith in Morris yet too. Needs to believe in himself I sense and follow through with that confidence on the field and to the coaches. If Wilton is the guy, I hope he kicks ass and is the man. John and Shane are still two stallions in the stable waiting to run though. Go Blue!

Won't neg away at all, but I'll put the caveat of "at the start of conference play." With no preseason games like in the NFL, I have no problem with Harbaugh trying things with multiple QBs in games against Hawaii or Central Florida or Colorado. I know "coachspeak" won't allow the staff to convey to the team that the games against 3 teams who went a combined 7-31 last season "don't matter" or are "easy wins." But assuming all the QB news that broke over the weekend is incorrect, if Harbaugh allows the QB competition to extend into games 1 and 2, I won't see it as a negative.
Now if Penn State comes to Ann Arbor and we still see a rotation, then I'm right there with you.
