The Big Ten Conference Office and its television partners announced Monday (May 2) the primetime games for each of its platforms, with two of the University of Michigan's four conference road contests selected for an evening starting time.

The Wolverines will play its Big Ten road opener against Rutgers on Oct. 8 at either 7 or 8 p.m. EDT. This will be the team's second-ever appearance at High Point Solutions Stadium in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The Scarlet Knights won the inaugural meeting in primetime, 26-24, on Oct. 4, 2014.

The final primetime tilt on Michigan's regular-season schedule will be played at Iowa on Nov. 12. The Wolverines and the defending Big Ten Western Division champion Hawkeyes will battle at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST from Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa. This will be the second time that the two schools have met in primetime, with Iowa winning the match-up, 30-28, on Oct. 10, 2009, at Kinnick Stadium.

The television network for the Rutgers and Iowa games will be selected at a later date. The games could be shown on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

The Wolverines have compiled a 29-20 all-time record in night games.

man I was depressed. I was also upset at Bo for not using timeouts to preserve about a minute on the clock instead of letting the kick be the last play of the game.

Clock management has never really been a thing at Michigan.

We held Chuck Long and a very good Iowa offense completely out of the end zone, but still lost on field goals.  Frustrating as hell.

Just like the Auburn game in the '83 season Sugar Bowl.  Held Bo Jackson completely out of the end zone, but still lost on field goals.

The flip side of Bo.  It was not all glory.

Some frustrating losses that would not have happened if he was willing to throw the ball on 3rd and 3 just a time or two.

We're going to get a lot of shit about our OOC schedule but we easily have one of, if not the most difficult conference schedules in 2016.

Wisconsin gets OSU and NE at home at night and we get two road night games -- yes it is another conspiracy.

So it wouldn't have evened up things to having the freeking home Wisky game at night and Wiskly only have one home night game.  Here's a thought B1G office guys - after you finish the schedule, step back for a minute and reevaluate how it looks.  Duh.

Any season ticket holders not planning on attending the road game at Iowa? My 3 brothers and I would prefer to sit with the alumni during our annual road trip festivities. Let me know.
